- Jon DoeThis was a male asking for my wife. The only information he had was from her previous marriage, well over 5 years ago. What really bothered me was he talked to my 12 year old daughter and asked for all her current information. He asked where she was at the moment, where her ex-husband was, and even asked my daughter personal questions. I have done research on this company and found they are a shady collection agency known for illegal tactics.

- ZMan replies to Angela| 29 repliesThe only real way...
Change your number to an unlisted, un-published number.
And make sure to tell the phone company to NOT give your new number to those who call your old number. Trust me... This is from fist hand experience. - DonnaI got a call from them today on my CELL. I googled them and they are Dynamic Collection Agency. I have no idea what they are calling about but I am going to ignore the call and any letters they send. Once you acknowledge them you open pandora's box.

- Michelle replies to AGGERVATED| 10 repliesYou can report the harassing phone caller to your local Sheriff's office. I did. They can file a warrant for the callers arrest if the caller continues to call after he has been told to stop. The Deputy can call the caller and warn him to stop making harassing calls to you. If the caller continues, the deputy can get a warrant for the caller's arrest. It does not matter if it is in a different state. I would never be forced to change my home number on the account of someone's illegal actions or threats. My home number is my business phone, too!! No way would I change my number!!!
- Leann in maineRecieved a call from DRS. The caller left message stating that he was my lawyer and needed to speak to me about my case. I have not retained a lawyer. These people will try anything to scam people. I have no intention of responding to these people.

- hopefully| 5 repliesThis number called and asked for someone they claimed to be a relative. I don't even know the person that they were asking for! They said that they put me as a reference on an application. Yeah, where do they get their references, the phone book? I took your advice and told them I would call the sherrif if they kept calling. Hopefully that will be enough, I certainly do not want them calling everyday.

- Ryan| 4 repliesI just received a call on my cell from this number. I answered the call and the call dropped. I called back from my work line and the automated system said "Dynamic Recovery Services" and gave me an option to speak with the operator. I explained that I had gotten a call from this number and she transferred me to some lady who would only tell me who the company's name and not what they do. When I asked what they did, she said that she's not allowed to give that information out. Hearing the name I asked if they were a repo company and she said that they "recover" and would not fully divulge what they were calling me about. I gave her my name and number and what do you know? I don't come up in the system. She said that the auto-dialer would have left me a message, but wait I told her that was my cell phone - companies are not allowed to call parties in which the receiving party will be charged, i.e. cell phones. If I receive another call from the company, I will file a complaint.

- Ryan replies to Ryan| 1 replyI received another call today from DRS and called back. "Walter" said that he couldn't find my number.
I have filed a formal complaint with the Dallas BBB.
If you need to file, make sure you search for "D.R.S. Incorporated" (no spaces between the periods and letters). - Tanya| 4 repliesMy husband received a call from these people yesterday. They said we owed about $10,000 to Wachovia and they were hired by them to collect. They told us it was for a repo; however, they couldn't give us a purchase date, make/model or year. They threatened to garnish his wages. They called me next and told me I had better seek legal council. At least in our state garnishment of wages is only allowed by law for child support, alimony or, in some cases, student debt. I hope we don't hear from them again but in reading these complaints, I think we are in for a long ride.
