This company is a fraud.  I believe they have a way to obtain records of past dues accounts.  They pretend to be a collection agency.
My company continues to receive calls from this number.  My attorney also got involved.   Yesterday they call I ask me for my social security number.  A reputable company will never ask you for your ss#.
Please, somebody needs to stop them and put them in jail.

DRS is the name of the company she says she works for.  Monica Murphy is the name she uses.  They are a fraud.  They ask you for personal information including your social security number.
We need for the FBI to get involved and capture these people

    This 800 number belongs to:

    Dynamic Recovery Services, Inc.
    4101 McEwen Rd. Suite 150
    Farmers Branch, Texas 75244

A male with a deep voice called from this number and left this message:

"I've got your social and if I don't get a returned call from you I'm going to get a list of all your relatives and call every one of them..."

Doesn't this constitute a threatening phone call?  What rights or recourse do the harrassed relatives have?  Does anyone know who this agency collects for?

That is not incorrect. It is harrassment. You're just talking of things you know nothing about.

Laura.. first, you don't know what you are talking about. In my case.. my truck was stolen and totalled.. the lender didn't want to make payment arrangements for the balance after the insurance company paid their part - so they sold it off to these people. It's one thing to handle something - it's another to be jerks about the way they handle it. I was never trying to dodge my responsibilities - but they call, leaving messages with no company name, no reference other than a file # and insisting that me or my attorney call to verify who is going to represent me in this filing. That is a scare tactic and is not legitimate. Even in calling them back to discuss our options, they insisted that we pay the settlement amount immediately and threaten a lawsuit against us. Someone should really take these people down. They are collecting money from other companies to scare people into a fast settlement or paying a ton of fees and interest to prevent their false threat of a legal suit.

Laura, you really dont have a clue of what you write about.  Many debts are incurred by corporate entities and then this company goes after the corporate officers and thier familties.  They would never win in court, but they use intimidation tacticts to get something.

No one forces the credit companies to loan to corporations, if the corps go out of business, then the creditors made a bad decision.

They have no legal right to go after others who do not owe that debt.

Laura - you are a perfect example of the messages I've received on my answering machine.
I received 3 calls asking for my "attorney to contact them with a file# to setup payment arrangements, or to see them in court"  This was the first message I received and nothing in the mail??  Who are they? Debt?  The only debt I'm aware of is a company I was an officer for who went belly up with the recession.  Why are they calling my house?  And why would I want to call back someone who is so nasty on my answering machine? That's like walking into a fire with no cause!  Now they're calling and leaving a message that they "have a list of my family and friends they are now going to start calling (harrassing) on behalf of my irresponsibility"  Oh that's encouraging!  Just walk away ... this world has enough stress then to open Pandora's box that doesn't belong to you.  Take the time to check the FDCPA

Laura, do you work for those people? I just got a call from them left on my answering machine. Guess what! I don't have any. REPEAT SO YOU HERE ME. I don't have any late bills. Each and every one of my cerdit cards are paid in full each and every month. My house payment is early. So why are they calling me using my name? and not staing their buisness? These third tier credit collectors are barely opperating under the law some are breaking the law every day. I will file charges if they do harrass me you can be sure

Just had numerous calls in a row from this number...come to find out it is a collection company in Texas. I have never spoken to these people ever and the first thing they do is threaten my life and my family's life. I realize that I have not made a payment on the car, but when you call someone for the first time, you don't threaten their life! Then they said that they are watching me right now on camera. This is what our government has done to us. WE ARE BEING WATCHED AND LIVES THREATENED!!!
They stated that they are GMAC...the big car company that is filing bankruptcy....making these calls.

Laura- You really need to stop working for these liars. It is so apparent in reading your material that you work for this illegal company. How would you like to get threatened with your life and a threat on your family's life for a simple payment, if even that? Nobody EVER has the right to threaten to take ANYONE'S life away from them! I just hope you never have to go through that experience with another shady company.

And I cannot believe for one moment that you never ever in your entire life have never made one late payment. As a loan and mortage specialist, I have seen and heard it all. EVERYONE has messed up at one point in there lives. We are all human and make mistakes...even you.

Sounds to me Laura you are profiting from these calls too.  I think you need to go out and earn a honest wage for once.  Maybe you will be the one to find out how we middle class people have to live.  Its not easy, sometimes there are situations that sometimes people can't get out of.  But of course you wouldn't know anything about that because you make money off them.  Just remember what goes around comes around.  Hopefully you will get it ten folds!  May god have mercy on your soul!

The people at this company are very nice people and professionals.  I never had a problem with them when we had an employee that used our business name.  We know we are responsible for our employees and we pursued our exemployee.  It was a frusterating circumstance that I was not able to work directly with the creditor on.  Thank goodness.

""First of all, I am so sick and tired of people who do not pay their bills complaining about the process that companies have to get their money.  PAY YOUR BILLS!!  Changing your number will not change the fact that you are a terrible individual who does not take care of business and the people who suffer are those who pay their bills and have to pay highter rates and premiums due to your DEBT!! THIS IS THE REASON FOR THE ECONOMY GOING BACK NOW!! IF YOU GOT LAID OFF OR HAVE A CHANGE IN YOUR INCOME..IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT YOUR CREDITORS AND ADVISE THEM AND TRY TO WORK SOMETHING OUT...KEEP DODGING COLLECTORS AND NEXT YOU WILL DEAL WITH THE COURTS AT A HIGHER COST TO YOU!!!""

What an A$$! You obviously work for this scavenger collecter. I got a call on my daughters cell phone. The guy said he was with the IRS, as in Internal Revenue Service. I saved the call. That's ILLEGAL, folks. If these low lifes call your neighbors and ask anything other than if they know you, or leave a message with them to call, it's Illegal. And they can only do it once. The neighbor must tell them not to call. The weasle that left a message identified himself as Steve Rogers....and sounds like a real pr**k. Being behind on bills has nothing to do with the present economy. It's not why creditors raise intrest rates, etc. It's because they're greedy. Laura Dumba$$, The economy IS the CAUSE! Glad you're doing well. Maybe you can send money to those that aren't. Your new leader...the "one", is causing it to get worse. And it will continue to do so. By the way, not all creditors will work with you.  I know why he called. I gave a car back to Chrysler 3 years ago, voluntarily. They sold it. Had at least 5 different agencies pass the buck on me. Chrysler sold the car for less than it was worth. They're not getting the balance from me. I've invited these morons to sue me several times. I asked Crysler to reduce the payments and intrest. They said no. I asked them defer a payment. They said no. After I gave them the car, I asked if I could make payments on the the balance. They said no. Balance they say I owe, in full. They'll never get it. Period. And if "Laura" doesn't like it...I'm even happier! have a wonderful day...all!

My brother got his truck repo for not making the payments. The DRS called and told my brother that he was going to get arrested and taken to court because he still has a balance to pay.  Can they do that even when they already have the truck back? Can anyone answer that?

Laura is indeed incorrect.  Intent has nothing to do with whether a call is harassment or not.  One should not speak about law without first looking it up.

DRS....a fun bunch they are.  I was dealing with Don Van. He's a prick, but once you show him your not intimidated he folds.  Basically I fought him down from a 10g debt to 4g debt settlement.  Am I proud that I can't pay my bills?  No.  Am I proud that I saved 6g's  hell yea!  Do I give 2 sh*ts about my credit?  Nahhh that was fried years ago.

I just love it when THE SCAMMERS get on here and tell people to PAY NON-EXISTENT DEBT
and claim they are not taking responsibility.  WHEN THERE IS NO DEBT TO BEGIN WITH!

boo hoo - Laura will not get her commission check for ripping off people THAT DO NOT OWE THEM MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE..

Got the same message that I owe over 1500$. Not cool but thank God I was skeptical. Looked it up, scam. Matt or Mike Chace is the name he'll use saying you a company money. I asked which and he said he'll call me back. Lol. I knew it then. So anyway, won't leave me alone and leaves me voicemails. I checked my credit report, called all I pay for and they all say I was current so my advice: Fraud alert on your credit report. Put your number on do not call list. Just don't answer.
