that must be some kind of record!
No we have threads with lots and lots more pages to them.

Before I was sent to this page, a pop-up ad for Spectrum showed up! That was a little odd
Not really, the ads are supplied by Google and are tied in the words in the thread.  If the thread was about Mac's Hobby Horses then the ad would have been for that.  In this case it was for Time Warner/Spectrum and that is why that ad showed up.  Pretty much happens on any site you go to if you don't bother using an ad blocker.

Even if it's a company you do business with, you can instruct them to remove are you from their calling list. I've done that with At & T and Duke Energy.

“sprectum” robocall scampaign facilitated by ATL Com’ns. Spectrum/TWC disowned this # years ago. It’s currently listed to carriers as a working toll-free # with ATL Com’ns being the "responsible" service provider. Thus carriers aren’t blocking it and, in fact, continue to relay it with a legit default CNAM i.e. “Toll-free” instead of e.g. “unknown” or nothing at all. The scammers are currently only using the # for its Caller ID confidence value with their outgoing calls. They have it set up so calls coming IN to the # are intercepted after one ring with an intercept recording saying the call can’t be completed as dialed. They can do that. Don’t be fooled by it. It’s a long story but suffice it say that robocall fraud is more successful & harder to trace when the scammers are able get people to answer calls FROM them.

Trying to sell cable-internet-phone services from "Spectrum". It's a scam. They aren't Spectrum (or anyone else) - its just a crummy boiler room robocaller breaking federal law. My complaint is that they have replaced the credit card scum as the most frequent and annoying call I get. Repeated harassment several times a day!! And a pox on the people in govt and the phone companies who continue to allow this to happen - boo!!!!

Looks like this, whatever it was, has a long negative history.  I was curious and picked up on the call to see what they had to say.  Supposedly it was Spectrum - press 1 to talk to a scammer, oops I mean agent.  I didn't press anything as I confirmed what the call was about.  Another day and time the CID showed Spectrum but it was a credit card scam.  Interesting thing is that I got a call 3 and half hours later from someone who was looking to lower my tv rates if I had Spectrum, AT&T, or Direct TV.  That call showed Jonesboro ME with a phone number of 207-434-4841.  Four minutes later I got a call from Lisa at Spectrum although the caller ID showed Wireless Caller this time instead of Spectrum and with a number of 207-462-0848.  A scam by any other caller ID information is still a scam.

our ID shows Spectrum. I spoke to them and they have put call blocks on our home phone and cells.  We'll see if this improves.
