- Annoyed CustomerThey call around three times a day asking for different family members. When asked the purpose of the call they hang up.
- Caller: Time Warner Cable
- ljpdallasAll of the above true and annoying. This is how I handle all such calls: Store the number in contacts list in your cell phone, then in options, assign it "no ring". They will still call, but won't bother you.
- Caller: Time Warner Cable
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KittyDidn't answer - left automated voicemail reminding me that our channel lineup is about to change.
- Caller: Time Warner Cable
- Call type: Event reminder
- GeorgeHThey're still at it. Glad to know it's nobody. My call blocker is maxed out, otherwise I would add them to it.
- Gayle SchulzThey call 2 or 3 times a day, 3 rings then hang up.
- spxHave gotten around 13 calls from this number in 16 days, varying times. Leaves no message, and there's no response when I answer. On the last one, I answered the phone with "You better not hang up", and got a live person who stated that his name was "Andre" and he was calling on behalf of Time Warner before he suddenly hung up. If this is a customer service call, it has seriously backfired because I've now cancelled my 3 year old account with them due to this harassment and the fact that I have no way to ask them to stop.
Awesome job to whatever VP came up with this idea.- Caller: Time Warner Cable
- Bob SI keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone. I use this number as my home phone. I never answer any call unless I know the caller, if it is important they will leave a message (they never have). I finally decided to find out who it is. I guess they think their customers can't read the tons of junk mail they send out so they have to harass you on the phone also (insert your favorite expletive here).
- ruma| 9 repliesgot calls from this number .. didn't pick up though.. annoyingggg!
- Di| 3 repliesTime Warner - I just blacklisted that number, now I considering to switch my Internet service to another provider. I would understand 1 or 2 call but they called more than 10 times last 2 weeks!!!
Let's all switch to another provider - that will make TW think a bit about engaging in next phone spam sales company with existing customers!- Caller: Time Warner
- Call type: Telemarketer
- David replies to catsearsI just added this number to my blocked list. Now when they call again, my phone won't even ring. It goes directly to voice mail. I won't even know they called!
- bookworm3333| 2 repliesYup, Time Warner it is.
I plan to give them a call and tell them that I am cancelling. Amazing, some people just don't know how to do business!- Caller: Time Warner
- TonyaCalls continuously and hangs up without leaving a message.
- Caller: Time Warner
- obbe| 1 replytired of getting this stupid call
- Caller: time waner cable
- T LI haven't exchanged anything or changed my service in any way, but I have been receiving calls from this number for the past month! Sometimes they call several times in one day, just to do it again the very next day.
- Caller: Time Warner (800-892-2253)
- ScottSan Antonio,
I get the same call every day sometimes twice a day. They well not leave a msg and when I answer they say nothing and hangup. The number is from Time Warner in Rochester, NY. CS rep in NY said it maybe some type of worm call?????? Told me to call my local rep. for assistance. - ScootzvilleAutomated call from Time Warner Cable letting me know that massive channel line up changes were being made that night.
- Caller: Timew Warner Cable
- Call type: Event reminder
- D| 1 replyThese calls have burdened me for months. I am on the do not call list and have now contacted the FCC to have Time Warner cease and disist on my behalf. If you have the same issues where the calls won't stop (and why oh why would anyone have to wait 30 days for Time Warner to stop the War dials if you have already previously demanded to be eliminated from their telemarketing calls is ridiculous!), you might need to take the same tact.
- Caller: Time Warner
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Chris| 2 repliesWe might have this all wrong. I get these calls a LOT (also on my ignore list) but why would TWC blow up your phone to tell you about a massive channel lineup change instead of just sending a flyer like normal? I'm in TX, have paperless billing, and only pay for the Internet portion so I don't even care about the channel lineup changing. I suspect this isn't TWC at all, but someone that acquired some of their customer base data and is phishing for information, maybe even just if you're still a TWC customer. I wish there was a whois-style database that would verify who owns a toll free number. It seems odd to me that when pressed, all of the callers hang up on a paying customer, that seems off.
- Caller: TWC maybe
- Call type: Telemarketer
- TexasGot a call from this number at 4:20 PM TX time on 28 Jun 2010 -
The caller asked for (my name) soon as I said this is (my name) there was silence - so I hung up the phone---------- Caller: Toll Free Call
- RadarDaveI've received two calls in the past two days. Cell phone rings. I answer. No one there. I gave Time/Warner my cell number four weeks ago so they could contact me prior to connecting an underground hook-up. They've yet to complete the installation. But they do have the time, money, and man-pwer to generate annoying phone calls. Way to go big business!! Maybe if enough people cancel your service (and I use that term loosely), you can run to whatever senator you have in your pocket and get a government bailout. Too big to fail, too big to work efficiently... [***]!!!
