- BigA replies to The Doctori have no idea how your rant turned into a political rant. Now there are very informative posts in this thread telling you exactly how to deal with them Screaming and cursing and slamming the phone down gets you nowhere. A certified letter, a report to the proper agencies, and an FDCPA lawsuit gets you everywhere and puts money in your pocket for the harassment. So take your pick, the adult way where you win and they lose or the other way that has no positive results? Your choice, although I know which one I would pick.
If you decide to chose the adult way, read page 38. - Gma PatCalled Easter Sunday with an "Important" message for my brother-in-law - who has been dead for 15 years!

- Tamianth replies to Betty Pinkovsky800 notes is not affiliated with this company. This is a debt collection agency and the only thing they understand and sometimes even then they don't get it, is to send them a certified return receipt cease & desist letter via USPS mail. Follow the steps below in what you need to know..
Never ever post your phone number in a world wide forum like this. Too many scammers and bots looking for these kind of things and you open yourself for fraudulent calls. I'm flagging the Admin ti remove the phone number.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-319-242-7350 - OneRingThe phone only rings once because of a "NoRobo Call" feature the company I go through provides. The name and number show up on the caller ID but the answering machine doesn't pick up. I'd still like the calls to stop, so I'll answer or call them and attempt to get them to stop calling based on the fact that my husband and I are debt free so we aren't the ones they are after.

Creditors are using the name of government department and lawyers to collect on false debt, debt that was paid late or a 3rd party is traing to collect more than 10 years later and most of there debt is a scam mail list, with the purpose to scam money from people. they prey on the elderly, problems that can be avoided if rules and regulation has to be study and make a fact in order to open any debt collector department business. A rule Has to be added , that the Name of origin of the debt, date of debt, number, adress and period of time that they have to collect on it, has to be added to all documents. I vote that a $200,000 dollar fine should be given to debt collectors that scam a mandatory 5 years jail time to improved this problem and also there businesses should be closed.

- BigA replies to report and sign petitionThe problem with that is the law already exists. Now if you had an education you would have been able to research that and actually would have come up with a viable plan. As it is your so called petition is so poorly worded and full of misinformation it will go nowhere. Spamming that link here gets you no extra credibility. But hey you only have 99,999 signatures to go.

If you really wanted to fight properly you would have learned your rights and the things you can try to end the agency's calls without getting a judge involved.
- Resident47 replies to DaveIt would be more efficient to ask the source of your calls to quit, which is one of your FDCPA rights.
