- Dan in FloridaThis company calls every day, sometimes several times. The PA secretary of state reports that the President of Penn Credit is Richard S. Templin, who is reported to reside at 5051 Ravenwood Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055-6783, with a home number of 717-766-7724. I called him and he offered to help. He actually called me back! Turns out that someone in another town with a similar name owes them money. He promised to stop the calls. We'll see..........

- Denise replies to BigAI'm a switchboard operator for a Hospital. As for the "whistle", you're only hurting the ears of those trying to make a living, NOT those dictating the work that is done. Idiots! We're a hospital. But if "some" idiots don't know who called, they show their true intelligence, and hurt the ears of the innocent. :(
- DeeThey called today-August 29, 2016. The voice mail message started with "elevator music" and then hung up!!!!

- Ck| 1 replyGetting calls from this # on my DO NOT CALL LIST. What is the purpose of having it on the list if anyone can call any time they.
- Margee123Don't know who they are don't care blocked em and forgot about them.
- CWG40 replies to CkIf they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking), the only thing they understand - Debbie HidalgoPlease STOP these calls
- DonnaThses people called me yesterday September 7. Normally, I don't answer and let it go to voicemail. But, I decided to answer and said: "Joe's pool hall. How can I help you?" They hung up QUICK!!!!!!!!!! I laughed like crazy.

» Your post here will NOT stop the calls. We did not call you. Your caller probably does not read these messages. We cannot block calls to you. We cannot put you on or take you off the list. We do not know who you are, and we do not know your phone number!Click_This_Line_for_Info_About_the_DNC_ListThe National Do Not Call list is respected by legitimate telemarketers, but is ignored by criminal telescammers.
Surveys, charities, political calls, NON-sales calls and certain preexisting business calls are exempt from the DNCL.
Business phones do not qualify for DNCL protection.Click_This_Line_for_Info_About_800Notes_PurposeFind out who is calling and why: Debt collectors, telemarketers, charities, and survey companies often call without leaving a message. Lookup the number to read the previous reports of other users.
Report telemarketing calls: Make the Do Not Call list offenders notice the problem by reporting their practices. No business wants bad publicity.
Report phone fraud: Did someone try to scam you? Reporting the number is the fastest way to make public aware, and prevent others from falling victim to the scam.
Check out a business: Read other users' feedback about the phone number owner.
»YOU are your own best defense against unwanted calls! You can use a call blocking app, device, service or procedure to block such calls.Click_This_Line_for_Methods_to_Block_CallsHere are some tried and true methods for reducing or eliminating repeated spam / scam phone calls:
1. Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail. Many telescammers hang up after three or four rings.
2. If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free call blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.
3. If your cell is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group". Assign the scammer's phone number to that group. Also assign a "silent ring" to that group. You will not hear future calls from that number.
3a. Alternately, assign a "silent ringtone" as the DEFAULT ringtone. Then, assign your favorite ringtones to friends, family, contacts, businesses, etc. That way, you will not hear your phone ring, even if the scammer changes numbers! (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers, so be careful!)
4. For cell phones or landlines: Contact your phone service provider. They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.
5. For landlines: there are several call blocking devices and services available. Use your favorite search engine to find one.
6. DO NOT call unknown numbers back without checking who called (800notes is your friend)! All that does is verify your number is "live". Instead, read this:
