- AWARE replies to AWARE| 2 repliesIf the credit collection alleges that you owe a creditor they also have a address where to send the account information.
Therefore, NEVER EVER give them your address over the phone, just request that all correspondence are done by mail and inform them not to call unless compliance is met.
If you do not owe anyone you can make the collector liable for contacting you and harassing you in your jurisdiction at their expense by interstate attorney fees. - AWARE replies to AWARE| 1 replyUPDATE:

- Bb| 1 replyThese nit wits call here every day for months now. Why ? I do not owe anyone anything. Plus , they never leave a message. What's the point ? They need to be investigated by the FCC
- Call type: Unwanted
- BigA replies to BbWell that will never happen because the FCC does not have jurisdiction over debt collectors. That would be the FTC, the CFPB, and your State Attorney General. This is all information you would have had you read the other posts and used the information in them to know what to do and how to make the calls stop.

- revPenn Credit has been calling on average once a day for the last six months. I blocked their number after the first three calls and checking out this post. They still keep calling. I confess I love to hear that first ring.....and then nothing...when the blocker hangs up on them.

- Fed up ! replies to AWAREThanks for the number for a free Consumer Protection Attorney. You are very helpful.
Thank you much :) - Fed up !| 2 repliesI report all these calls to the Fed No Call department to no avail. They do NOTHING !
I wonder if that Fed department is just another phony Fed over paid agency like so many others. Is it real and who pays for and reviews our calls to them ? - BigA replies to Fed up !| 1 replyWell, I can see your problem right off the bat. It is pretty glaring. You see, and this is something that you should already know, debt collection calls are not regulated by the two enabling laws that established the Do Not Call Registry. Yep, it's true, it was clearly posted at that site when you signed up. So, obviously they are not going to do anything because first, they are not required to, and second they have no jurisdiction over debt collectors. How about that! They are doing their job, it is you who is not doing your job. Now if you want the information you need, then you can read my post on page 64 which gives you detailed instructions, CWG40's post on page 66, and Resident47's posts on page 67. Or you can do nothing and continue to get the calls (this includes reporting them to the wrong place). Your choice.
