These people are a "RIDIKULUS" bunch!!!!...  I just got the call, and while on hold Google'd them... and all your comments are what I found. I held the line until someone finally spoke, gave them my number, and told them to NEVER call again (at which time he, the caller, removed my number from their database). I told him that I Google'd this phone number, and that it came back with tons of hits concerning telemarketing, and SCAMS... I then became irrate... and hung up on me... Best phone call I've had all day.   :)

Carmen, Ford Explorer, 800-918-4224 -- at friggin' work!!!! Hopefully that person who said they work for the gvt & are reporting this to the FCC does so!!!!!!!

Received the identical call three days in a row (March 20-22)- and it is simply a fishing recording, repeat recording, by various "named" callers.  Please read on,

Please do not waste time answering these "callers."  Calling them verifies that there is a live telephone connection that can be made and that information eventually forms into a distinct telemarketing list that is sold to anyone wanting 'live, recently verified' numbers.  

In other words, even if you call back to let them have a piece of your mind, you are increasing their bottom-line through a different aspect of their business model.

Received a call from the 'Awards Claim Center' saying that I had won something and it was my final chance to call them to claim my prize.

The call from "Carmen" was on my voicemail when I came work this morning. I went to the internet to try to find out who the Awards Claim Center was and found this website. Too bad it was a scam. I could have used the Explorer...

I think we should plan a mass callback.  Let's all pick a date and time to call them back and we can flood their phone system.  See how they like it!

Same song 30043rd verse same as the first.  "Carmen" must be very busy.  I was at work and then googled the number - I knew something was fishy since I don't sign up for those sweepstakes just for this reason.

so, i knew this was a scam therefore i called them back and gave them false information to see what was going on.  The questions they asked me were:
1. Are you single, married or seperated?
2. Do you have a major credit card?
3. Is your income level above or below 55,000 dollars?
4. your phone number and claim number

I answered that i make less and have no major credit card.  well, to get me off the phone (since i don't make any money they can steal) they said i needed to send a self-addressed envelope to daytona beach shore, FL 32116 in order to recive a 5 day 6 night vacation in bahamas.

This is a total scam!!!! why would they be asking information about your financial position unless they wanted to take money from you.

The person that called and left a voice mail was carmen from the award claim center.  i was suppose to call 1-800-918-4224 claim # HH592 to win a ford explore or $25,000 in cash.  what c***.

I just received a call from Carmen and the Awards Claim Center about a Ford Explorer.  The call was identical to those described above from Carmen. She implies that I have won something and asks that I call her back.

I just got my 3rd call from this number (I've never answered) and my first message.  Same as above but from Bridget.  How do they get a hold of a university dorm phone number in San Antonio?  It must be a random number generator or something...thanks for the heads up, everyone!

Alexis from Awards Claim Center called to tell me that I won $25,000 or a Ford Explorer and they have been trying to get ahold of me.  This is your final notice.  I have great news for you.

I did save the message and intend to report to the Federal trade commission.  I hate scams.  Considering, I just changed my number a week ago and not all my friends have my new number.

Called at work in my SLC, Utah office.  The call came in at about 8:00 p.m., when I wasn't in the office, and said they had been "trying to reach me" about cash or a ford explorer and to call back because they had "great news".  I'm sure glad for google, where you can get some actual information!  They identified the company as awards claim center.

Call from Carmen.I called the 800 918 4224 back and was asked which phone number they had called Married or single and claim number. That was all, then she said I had been enter to win and hung up. What we need on this is what happens when they call back etc.

They called my work number...funny.  Did not even mention my name so that if I REALLY won such a wonderful gift, it would make logical sense somoeone would mention my formal NAME???? What a bunch of schleps.

I also received the same call as many others that have posted comments.  They called my work number in SLC, UT at 7:49PM and said it was Carrie or Terry, I wasn't sure.  They said they were calling from the Awards Claim Center and that I have won a Ford Explorer or $25,000 in cash and gave me this # 1-800-918-4224 & gave me a claim number to call back.  I called the number at 9:46pm Mountain Time on 4/2/07 & I got a recording from the operator saying that the call did not go through, please try your call again.  Glad I looked up this number.

I received the same call at my Corporate office stating that I've won a brand new Ford Explorer and to call immediately with my claim number HH592.  I immediately went to the internet to check out this number and found all these messages from you guys.

I also got a call from this number yesterday after office hrs (5:59pm).
They left a voice message and told me that it was my last and final call. Idiots telemarketers.
