Got a call from this number and it said that I am getting $38 back from AT&T if I log into www.att38.com (because they care). I don't have AT&T ANYTHING so why the f^$% would they be giving me $38?

These clowns are using an Asterisk PBX over a SIP trunk, and the software lets them send any caller ID info they like. They could make their caller ID tell you that Barack Obama is calling if they like. The same thing can be done with a "Magic Jack" VOIP device. Just type in whatever you want your CID to read.
Thats the reason these [***] are so hard to catch...they can plug their gizmo into ANY network connection (hotel, Starbucks, public wifi) phish a while, and move on. If you get a call or txt, IGNORE IT!

Thank you, and have a nice day." The call was I.D'd as coming from "Cliff."

Looks like Phishing. I do not have any account with Verizon, or use any of their services.

Just got a call from this number with a robotic female-voice in the message from Verizon. I won't be calling back since I haven't touched Verizon in -years-.

Clearly a scam, please do not return the call unless you are -positive- of the information.

received a call regarding a 73.00 credit

Gee...my call only offered me $73 ...I feel cheated :)  Something for nothing can be tempting.
Unfortunately, as long as people fall for these things, they will continue.

They are still at it! Got a call from that # yesterday.  Asked for the last 4 digits of my ss#.  When I did not oblige, he (using the name Mario Lopez...LOL) asked for my Verizon password.  He offered $100.00 off my Verizon bill to answer a 3 question survey.

I was told by a person at my bank that 1-800-9372000 was the best number to use if I called them. I had been using a different number and I continued to use it. One day I had to call the bank and I asked them where the number 18009372000 came from. He looked it up and said it was a scam number. When I tried it again it turned out to be Verizon!

Most definitely. Verizon is using the number to gain access to bank information and any other information they can find out about you. The number was given to me by someone that said they were a bank employee and it was the best number to use to to call them with. If anyone tells you to use the number 18009220204 it's Verizon!

I was given the number 8009220204 by someone who works at a bank...or said they did! I don't have Verizon wireless and don't know there number. this person gave it to me saying it was td bank!

just received a call from this number & let it go to voicemail. the horrible auto-voice said to go to www.att40.com to claim my $40 credit because "they care about me so much."

I was to receive money

Was a recording from Verizon saying I had an $83 credit for my account. I'm not dumb enough to think that just getting a brand new phone and the rebate that came with it that I'd be getting more of a credit on my bill...

Received call from this number at 9:15 am on Sunday Aug, 17th.  No message was left.  I figured it was a spam call since this number never calls.  Comes up 1-800-922-0204 on caller id.  My husband received same call about 15 minutes earlier on his cell.  I did hear that it was Verizon but he doesn't have Verizon.  He hung up.  

Got the call. Didn't answer.

Got a call from this number today. I'm going to block it.
