I believe this company might be getting our phone numbers from HSBC Bank credit card companies.  When I got the call this morning, I was told it was in reference to a purchase made recently with my Visa card.  Although I could barely understand the man's words, I suspect he is marketing to HSBC customers (who are more likely to be gullible and take him up on the $100 WalMart gift card offer).  I told him that I'm on the do-not-call list, and he still wouldn't give up.  I think he didn't know what to do.  But he just kept right on talking until I hung up on him.

"Financial Education of America" is the name of the company.  I called them back and spoke with an articulate, polite woman.  When I told her that I was on the national do-not-call registry she gave up on enrolling me in two programs that are allegedly for the purpose of showing their appreciation for me business.  HA!

No, this is not from HSBC, because the account number they gave me does not match my credit card.  This must be quite old, as I cannot find the account ending in the digits they gave me.  Perhaps that's part of the plan; use data from old purchases so that consumers cannot complain to the "marketing partner."

I am a state police officer in the state of Indiana, how the hell did they get my number?!?!? MY CELL NUMBER to be exact!??!?!! They call me every 2 hours starting at 9am and stop around 7:45pm on Feb. 3rd 2008, and have been doing so everyday including today Feb. 12th, 2008. When I call back they DO answer, and they flat out ask if this is "****" MY REAL FIRST NAME!!!! needless to say I deffinetly have contacted the right people in Florida since that's what they're based out of. I will be calling that 877 number also first thing in the morning as well. Thank you everyone for the information you have provided me to contact these bad people. Hopefully they will stop harrassing me and all of you.

said they were from American Express, calling me regarding my account ending in blah blah blah.  offered free gas vouchers and some other b.s.  A man named Ryan claiming to be a "floor manager" then asked me to verify some of my account information, it was at that point that  I hung up.

Bait and switch credit card scam. They call us claiming they are with your credit card company, then give you 4 numbers at random saying it's from your card. Of course it's the wrong numbers, so they offer to verify your info. They ask you to verify your card number, address, etc. It's a pretty common scam. I called the idiots back when they tried it on my wife, identified myself as a peace officer and asked for the managers name and information. They immediately hung up and the line has either been busy or has rung repeatedly without answer since.

They called me didnt leave a message so I called back some one picked up so I quickly hung up and than went online to do a little research, I called back and just like before the same person picked up before 1 ring, I asked to be forwarded to Frank Liz ( I was curious to see what would happen ) so the guy than starts rambling about how I have to call this other number at the "other office" so I said look pal I need to talk to Frank Liz right away after a few dead air seconds he finally said ok I'll see what I can do, that's all I needed to hear I went into a heated tirade about how I kno this shyt is a huge scam and U've been charging my card 20 bills a month  for the last 4 months and that me and my bank are now fully aware of the scam, Stop Effin calling me....He said in a very bad nice guy tone Have a Nice Day Sir, To which I replied Later Sh*tHead and hung up the phone, I doubt I get anymore calls from them.....Anyone else in this situation I urge to do the same thing also bring up the fact that U know where they r based ( Tampa Fl )....1 last thing they didn't start calling me until I filed a fraudelent for the latest pending transaction w my bank which stated that the company would need to supply a bunch of personal info like account # before 7 to the bank in order to allow the charge to process, I guess they were trying to get that Info, didn't work too well...So in the end I'm out $80 bills I'd say they won the battle but I took the war in the end, VICTORY!!!

I'm guessing from your obviously ignorant complaint blog that you did not call the company and nicely asked if they could please just make sure your number was not continued to be called. I did and they were very nice about it.
