- Chelle| 1 replyThese people are [***] for sure. The second you are late they call over and over and over and over...I was told it was an auto dialer and there was nothing they could do to stop it unless you actually make payment arrangements with amounts and date paying and set it up to come out. Just telling them you are going to pay it on a certain date doesn't work...I tried. lol. And they don't refinance their own loans which is the stupidest thing I have ever heard...aarrrggg. Will be SO glad when this car is paid off so I never have to deal with them again! I have 16 numbers now for them that they have called from - see below:

- nancy replies to JessicaYes, me too. I pay someone to answer these calls. How can it be stopped?
- Bobby replies to ChelleYes, I've gotten calls from them. I made a payment and I asked the guy why I was still receiving calls. He stated that's it's automated and until my account it current, or I make arrangements to use check by phone or Money Gram, the calls will continue. This is a legit number because it's the number on our original bill.
- John Nicolsappears to be fraudulant.

- JHAbout a year ago, I got a call from my brother who lives several states away from me. He said that Capital One had called and told him that I was late on my auto payment (which was true) and was trying to get in touch with me. My phone number had not changed, but apparently they were trying to ratchet up the pressure. I did not list my brother on my application as a contact, cosigner, or anything else, so there is no reason that they should have called him.
I'm not a legal expert, but I suspect that this type of thing is probably illegal. I didn't really know what to do about this other than write a letter to a company official. The moment has passed, but in retrospect, that's probably the appropriate measure to take.- Caller: Capital One Auto Finance

- markdad replies to LYep---to get them to stop say "there is NOT and has NOT been anyone by that name available at this number for some time now, nor do I know anyone by this name--PLEASE REMOVE this number from your data-base or I will make the necessary arrangements to file the paper work to make sure you do that--acording to the laws of the United States of America "
Usually you are speaking to some $6.00 an hour [***] (in india--that's right they don't deserve a capitol letter-the [***]! )-- if the give you ANY problem--DEMAND TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE IN THE U.S.And do NOT give up demanding to speak to a U.S. (red-blooded citizen ) ! You have more rights than the indian (DOT--NOT FEATHER ) clown working overseas~~~~~~ and now---let me tell you how I really feel !!!! - Sean in CAThis is a SCAM number, nothing to do with the REAL Capital One at all. This number appears on FAKE BILLS that are sent out en masse, hoping to be able to scam someone out of their name, address, ss#, bank account number or whatever other personal info they can trick you into giving up. How do I know? I received two "bills' from "capital one" showing past due amounts. I don't have a capital one loan, I don't have a loan from anyone, anywhere. This is a variation on the email phishing scam. Nothing more, nothing less.
- My nameIt's Capital One. I haven't paid my car payment. I'm late-I get a call. You're late-you get a call. It's not a scam. It's called pay your bills or stop complaining.

- savy2006 replies to Jessica| 2 repliesSorry, but you are wrong regarding being late with a car payment. I do not have a car loan of anytype nor a credit card and this company calls me day and night.
- MsgtoMr.Stupid replies to cDude, when people don't have the money to pay their bills how about they just call you and then you can pay thier bills for them. That way you wont have to make stupid comments on these forums.
- David LeeThey do not stop!!! Even if you are paid up on time,
they call!! It goes way beyond harrassment !!!!!
I have literally gotten 15,18, over 20 calls in a day.
They really really need to be looked at by whoever controls this type of phone harrassment.
They are redicilous !!! - GrandmaduckI recently got an iphone, and now I keep getting phone calls from 1-800-946-0332
that supposedly are from Captial One Auto Financing for "Brian Petrofsky" or something like that.
The calls are very annoying and I've gotten at least 6 in the last week. A few times I spoike with someone
and told them that I don't know anyone with that name, and that they had the wrong number.
Today a recording gave me a number to call so I called and was told to press 1 if I was Brian Petrokshy
and to press 2 if I was not him. Hopefully the calls will stop.- Caller: Capital One Auto Financing

- KeithSo check it out, dont even bother getting upset because it will do no good. I will have my truck paid on in three, count em, three short payments!!!
My loan was a 5-year contract that I have paid on-time or early and have always rounded my payments up to pay off earlier. In October 09' I ended up in the hospital, in a coma for two months. The first cell phone call I received was the morning after I woke from the coma. I answered the phone on speaker because I could not hold the phone up to my ear (when your in a coma for two months you lose ALL strength) After chewing me out about not paying my truck payment, the guy on the phone asked ... what the heck is that beeping, are you recording this call?
At this point my doctor had entered the room and got to hear 3/4 of the conversation, while i didnt know the doc real well, he knew me and my family. He took the phone and started cursing out the guy on the phone and requested a manager. When the manager picked up, the doc rudely explained that I was in the hospital and the details were none of their business and threatened to get the hospital law group involved if they call again or is something happens to me as a result of the stress they caused.
They apologized and removed the late charges and with drew the late reports on my credit.
It was great! anyways they never called again and by the end of December I was all caught up again. S January 2010, they randomly started calling me 1-2x per week to "inform me of when my next payment is due. I informed them I had NEVER been legally late because I was in the hospital, they know about it so why are they calling me. they said because my account was low interest (6.5%) they call any low interest account with a history of late payments. I just laughed and hung up... started making a record of every time they called, and my account standing at the time of each call. I went as far as paying a month ahead in the spring of 2010 to stop the calls and that didnt work. I confronted them with the record of calls this past march and they still call ... even more now ... I have every single capital one number blocked so my phone automatically rejects their calls ... its the only way to get the to stop.
I do feel for yall who may be a couple of payments behind... and the general public wonders why people lose their mind and shoot up businesses. shesh- Caller: Capital one Auto Finance

- TLRThey called my 9 year olds cell number. Obviously she doesn't have a car loan so it's the wrong number. Maybe someone who had this number before her? She's only had it for less than a year. Just gonna block it on the Verizon website.
- Caller: Capital One?
- Cassie replies to ChattbikerYeah, they do that to us too. We may have been late once, but we've been caught up ever since. But they STILL keep calling. They just want more money, greedy people. We pay when it's due, get over it!
- Jane replies to RhondaIf your phone has a block option, use it.
- wolfenIts Capital 1 Auto alright they called me about 15 minutes ago to inform me that my Jeep payment is due, well, theres only one problem with that, the Jeep payment is broken down into two automatic deductions from our bank account, so since they are receiving their money on time , why are they calling? Are they just another company where one hand doesn't inform the computers other hand what the hell is going on?

- Annoyed in VT| 1 replyThey are calling my cell 5 times a day and using my airtime.............JERKS! Even if you register on the "do not call list" they still have 31 days to harass you. Are they going to pay for my overage minuted??? Tried calling the number they left me and no one answered. Someone needs to step in and stop them. Anyone looking out for us?? HEY CAPITOL ONE - take your Goat and shove it!
- Caller: Capitol One

- wolfen replies to Annoyed in VTof course they won't pay for you overlimit, thats why I have them on silent and my phone sends them directly to voice mail, the modern computers hang up if you don't; answer :)
but they STILL call me and tell my my payment is late, usually right after it automatically comes out of my paycheck. I'd LOVE to be in a class action against them and everybody eles, epically the [***] that keeps telling me I MUST refinance my house before they forclose, that shows up as Capital one also, my mortgage is with Chase.
