Finally answered and it was Wells Fargo.

I have been called by this number twice a day for the past week.  Good thing I found this site to actually discover what the number was.  Next time they call I'll answer.

I think it was Wells Fargo.  

I didn't answer, but they have been stepping up their security on VISA charges.  They have a lot of numbers and it's automated now.  They use to call me in person years ago and actually talk to me about charges.

I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS IS WELLS FARGO...FRAUD ALERT...I CALLED WELLS FARGO AND THEY SAID THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEIR NUMBERS! I HAD TO CHANGE EVERYTHING IMMEIATELY...WARNING

I am pretty sure it is Wells Fargo. If you search for it online they have the number listed for a number of programs through their official website.

I was called by this number and they told to me that somebody entered in my account and then start to ask questions about my bank account. I discover that was a fraud after calling my Wells Fargo manager, I had to close my bank account and change averything... be carefull when receiving a call from this number.

I called this number last night and was able to resolve some account issues

Just complained to my a Wells Fargo Service Rep, this is an insurance company using their name without their permission.  If you get a call from them send a complaint to the FCC.  If you call them back and give them your number to stop calling you they will call you more!

I got an e-mail stating that my password of my online account had been incorrectly entered 3 times and to call 800-956-4442.  I called the number and was asked for my socil sec #.  Felt a little fishy.  I didnt give any info.  I googled the number and did see that it is listed as the online account number.  I called a legit wells fargo number told them what was going on, she said it was a legit number, although she wanted my social as well.  I didn't want to give her that info, so she suggested I disregard the e-mail, since I was sure I had closed my account over a year ago, and the e-mail I received to... reportphish@wellsfargo.com   Hope this helps..

I just got a call from this number and they said I won the Publishers Clearninghouse - lol.

I got a call from this number today.  It was an automated message saying they were from wellsfargo and that a transfer of $1000 was happening from my account to one ending in 4 numbers I didn't recognize and they were giving me the verification code.  I immediately called Wellsfargo and checked my account online and there were no open account transfers of any amount, so they told me to just watch the account for the next few days to make sure.  I'm going to change my password though, just to be on the safe side.

Looks to me like these scammers are getting smart about sites like 800 Notes. Looks like they log on to add entries making it look like it might be legit... and maybe people should answer the number.

They want to confuse you. NEVER answer this number. If Wells Fargo wants to communicate with you they will do so through the US Mail.

I have not had an account with Wells Fargo in over 20 years, so what does that tell you. These people are full of it.

I applied for a online joint account wth my bf and next day got a email and call from this number saying to call for more verifacation, well i fell for it and gave them info, than next day called number of wells fargo behind debit card and they asked me same info so i was confused and ended up finding out the email and other number were all a sam. i had close both my accounts and open up a new one. such a hassel

I got an email saying that my Bill Pay Sirvice had been cancelled and it gave me that number to call back.  I call wells fargo from another number that I got from their web site.  They said it was a scam.  But I looked up the number in there contact numbers and it was right there at the very top for online banking and bill pay.  Here's an advice, never give your personal information to an incoming call

It is Wells Fargo Bank and the recorded message was appropriate for the topic, resetting your Quicken to WF account info.  I was doing that and there was a necessary reason.  WF changed their internal software and my own had to be changed to link up.

This is not Wells Fargo...it is a SCAM...they are just getting a little more sophicated.  Please do not fall for this...call your local Wells Fargo Bank and check...This is a group of crooks...

It was Wells Fargo Bank.  I was expecting the call about the resolution of a technical issue with their online billing.
