1-800-956-4442 is actually a Wells Fargo Scam number. I sold my home, downsized and was able to buy a new home cash. I never had a bank account with Wells Fargo only a mortgage which I paid off 4 month ago. Out off the blue and 4 month later I received a Wells Fargo email, that my mailing address has changed and if I didn't  made the change I should call 1-800-956-4442. I did and I got a message if you are over 51 press 1 and if under press 2. There was no way to go around it, so I press a number and I had a female recording trying me health insurance. I called another Wells Fargo number and explained was happening, I was told that The post office sends mailing updates to Wells Fargo, the Wells Fargo employee completely ignored the fact that Wells Fargo was trying to Scam me into purchasing Health Insurance. Wells Fargo get it, if you choose to be a scammer that's your choice. But don't contact me anymore, I never was a customers of your and I will never choose to be one after what just happened. You bought my mortgage a few years back, that's all, which I paid off. So Wells Fargo Back off!!!!!!!!

Told me about an issue with late payments on my mortgage.  I don't have a mortgage with them.  They then asked me who I did have a mortgage with.  When I told them I wouldn't do it scuss that on the phone, they said f--- yourself.  WATCH OUT.  DEFINITELY SCAMMERS.

Got a call from someone with and accent. Wanted to do a loan modification. Wanted me to pay $500 for an escrow shortage. Said I couldn’t do anything till Monday afternoon. Call the Wells Fargo I call and asked them. SCAM! SCAM!

This is a scam number.  They say they are Wells Fargo but I received an email with this 800 number in it that said there might have been an unauthorized attempt to get into my account and I needed to verify my information to restore my access.  They had a link and this # 800-956-4442.  I DO NOT have any account of any type with Wells Fargo.  Out of curiosity I Googled this 800# and found scam reports associated with this.  I also looked up Wells Fargo's 800# and it is not this one!

This 800-956-4442 and 818-570-9908 is NOT Wells Fargo....Use Spydialer.com and check for your self. Get the word out!! I got a text from a different number (908) 484-9166, claiming to be from Wells Fargo. After some research on this site, I only found the number was from New Jersey, and since I didn't know anyone from New Jersey, I blocked the text.

I then get a call from the number above, which said on the caller ID, "Wells Fargo." These scammers are getting a bit smarter. They then "followed up" on the text I received earlier. I wasn't thinking straight, and after confirming a few non important items, they then asked to confirm my username. Uh, Oh! Unfortunately, I gave that to them. Then, they said they needed to reset the account password, through a text. FORTUNATELY, this time I realized what was happening and hung up on them. They tried 3 times to call back, and I ignored each one. I then called the bank directly (which I should have done at the very start), and they confirmed that it was not them who had called.

PLEASE, don't even fall for as much as I did. DO. NOT. GIVE ANY. INFORMATION. THROUGH. A. TEXT.
I should have caught it sooner, but didn't. Luckily, I was not compromised, but it didn't make me feel any better. Please spread the word!

They stole my identity and now I am locked out of my accounts and I can’t get into my bank or anything I have no money for months nown

A man said he was from my bank fraud department and someone was trying to get money from my card through Zelle and if I didn't sign into Zelle the money would be gone. He sent the money to himself to a Wells Fargo account. My bank wouldn't give me my money back even though it's a SCAM!

Nope, Zelle is permanent.  You should have read that when you signed up.  You should have also called the bank at a known, published phone number before doing anything.

Scammers are cloning Wells Fargos number!

Caller left voice mail stating he works for Wells Fargo home mortgage and it was imperative that I call him back on different #609-606-5521 to avoid legal proceedings for foreclosure. My mortgage is paid and up to date!

This is definitely scammers. I searched internet for at number and saw this so I called.. should have used number on my card. Then he asks me for my phone number to verify account. As soon as he texted me and ask for code I caught on and told him he was scammer that has posted fake number on net to truck people. Then he said this is a recorded line I said good click

That's good to know, I bank with Wells Fargo & the number i had ignored was from 800-956-4442. I guess I can block this number but I was trying to get a loan from somewhere & I've been waiting for a validation number before money can be deposited into my account.

Received an email that they have suspended my online banking access. I do not bank with Wells Fargo.

Email about an account being opened that we never opened!
