- Paul FirehammerThis number really is Wells Fargo Customer Support. I use Quicken for my home finances. It was Quicken that alerted me to the software change at Wells Fargo. They assisted in getting Quicken reset so I can keep my transactions up to date. After reading some of these reports calling it a scam I reconfirmed it really is Wells Fargo.

- JenCraneThis is Wells Fargo and isn't a scam or fraud. I've been dealing with them over an account getting closed that wasn't suppose to be closed and received a call from them from this number and this number is listed on all the correspondence that I have received doe them.
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- JMzI got my transfer code for Wells Fargo. However, if you get a call you don't expect you should call them back. Or use 800-869-3557. Yes, that is 86 Wells. (Perhaps they think you should go to a credit union.)

I believe their [***] security has allowed people to access old WF accts and spoofing this number the scammers are calling trying to get additional info DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO - Ann I replies to CPI received the same e-mail listed above, My immediate thought was This got to be a scam. I don't have a Fargo account and I never wired anyone 975.00. I didn't reply because if you call the number the other side might retrieve your personal information electronically Beware.
- RichardWATCH OUT. THIS IS NOT LEGITIMATE AND NEITHER ARE ANY E-MAILS THAT FOLLOW. I made the mistake of answering this phone call. The person on the other end spoke with an almost unintelligible accent. She first asked for my Wells Fargo account number and then my last four Social Security digits, but when she asked for my PIN number I immediately hung up on her and called the legal department at Wells Fargo. They checked their records and found that there is NO PROBLEM with my account and that these calls are definitely fraudulent. Do NOT talk to them, but send a copy of any e-mails they send to you to <reportpfish@wellsfargo.com> and they will follow up.
- Caller: Unknown scammer
- PCBobI received a message on my phone to call this number about my online account being blocked and need to call to reset. I then checked my account online and from phone and everything was ok. I then called a number that was for Wells Fargo on their web site and a recording asked for my credit card number and the pin for it. (why would they ask for the pin) I would rather talk to someone that knows from my caller id number on my cell phone that I am the right person and then maybe give them the last 4 numbers from my SS# or mother's maiden name. Spammers are getting good and you have to be very watchful about giving out any info over the phone.

- verysherry replies to 520-631-5933| 3 repliesITS A SCAM!! I got and email saying I had insufficient funds for an account that does not exist. The phone number was in the email. DONT BE FOOLED. ITS NOT REAL WELLS FARGO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
- GotNeil replies to verysherryYes, the same thing happened to me. I received an email that there were insufficient funds on a transfer. The phone number was in the email. After stupidly giving my social and username she asked me for my home mortgage loan balance. I thought she was verifying me all the while. Then there was loud static on the line that was major interference. I could barely hear the young lady. I did hear her say hang up and dial again. That made me suspicious and now realize I was scammed!
- MichaelThis number is legitimate - I called the regular WF number, and they transferred me to this number.
- BBThis number is a legitimate number for Wells Fargo. When transferring funds between Well Fargo and another bank, Well Fargo sends a verification code either by text or call. I chose "call" and entered the code given to me via an automated voice. I rec'd an e-mail indicating the funds were being processed. Again, this number is valid.

Just remember that employees of these companies also hAve access to your information so it's best not to trust anyone

- Renny replies to verysherryWe received the same email telling us we had insufficient funds on a recent transfer. Also showed two phony account numbers. We went to Wells Fargo today and we were told "IT IS A SCAM" by a manager. I bet someone will ask for your personal information if you call 800-956-4442. It's an old SCAM!

- Caller: Wells Fargo

- Google Adict replies to poopie pantsMy husband got an email from his bank about his failure to respond to a text message via his email carrier regarding a password change. This email was not easy to understand and needs to be rewritten by those responsible for sending it. It did ask him to call this number, and this is the number of his bank's fraud department. The problem hasn't been totally resolved yet, but only because my husband is a flip phone, hardly ever text person and whoever he talked to has referred him back to their online banking department.
