- Too good to be trueGot the same call from "Bill" @ "prize distribution center" telling me I won a 2007 Navigator from a contest that I don't recall entering. Said I should call 800-996-0081. Checked the internet and "Prize Distribution Center" is in trouble with the FTC for bogus sweepstakes. If I were to call, I bet the people who answer would not know my name. This is definitely a scam. The old rule "if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true" should be applied to these burglers.

- SassyBill is up to his tricks again. I got a call on my answering machine on a Sunday (12-28-08) afternoon. The message was from Bill with the Prize Distribution Center saying that I had entered a contest to win a 2007 Lincoln Navigator, and that he had good news for me. I was to call Bill back at 1-800-996-0081. I called that number several times that day and for the next few days. I didn't even get a recording. The phone just rang and rang. I thought I would try to pull the 800 # up on the website and was surprized to find this info. Thanks

- Georgia replies to think its a scam| 1 replyThis is a SCAM. I found a message left on my voice mail. It was 'Bill' saying that I had won a Lincoln Navigator through a contest I'd entered some time ago. Bill said he had the entry form in front of him! This was January 2 at 10am 2009. Looks like this scam has been going on a long time. I just have the 1-800-996-0081 call back number. I erased the call.
- tc25same thing with a referal on my caller id for 312-488-1852 but the caller left a number of 1-800--its a scam!!

- LilLuvLeaBill has been very busy giving away Lincoln Navigators (that are already two years old) from the reports on here. I just received this call from him on New Years Eve. Same number as others have reported. Isn't there a way everyone who supposedly won these Navigators could take out a class action law suit against this kind of SCAM!!! Let me know if there is?? I would sign for that in a minute. These people ( I heard numerous people in the back ground on phones doing the same thing he is) must be getting paid to call up and scam people all day long. So who ever is paying them is who needs to be put in jail or out of business. This is bogus so don't call him back.

- MarylandFrom two numbers 866-950-8143/877-265-4003. Not Bill but William Parker & a John from Prize Distribution Center, same old, told me I won a Lincoln Navigator. Did not presude after reading all your posts. Thanks and I hope this help somebody else.
- Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? So I get a message on my phone at 0849 (8:49am). The caller's name is "Seth" informing me of the results from the contenst I entered back in (doesn't give a date)..pause..for a brand new Lincoln Navigator. I was asked to call back on this number 1-800-301-3436 and to ask for "Seth." The caller ID gave me 1-312-625-1467, area code is for chicago, springfield Illinois.
**NOTE**
I have only entered one contest in the past year and it had nothing to do with a Lincoln Navigator.- Caller: prize distribution center

- AZsnowbirdI just received the same call on my answering machine. The prize is Grand Sweepstakes Getaway and the phone number to call back is 1-800-301-3436. We are in Arizona.
- Amanda J.I too received a call from "Bill" today (Sunday) 2/15/09, at 10:45am EST. I let it go to my answering machine though because I didn't recognize the number. You could tell it was an automated recording because of the loud buzz going on for the duration of the call. You could barely hear "Bill" over it.
He never stated his last name either, or a "legit" name for the business he was calling from. Gave me this number to call, but no extension number: 1-800-301-3436. The Caller ID said "Award, DPT" 708-441-3679. This is what "Bill" said verbatim: "Hi this is Bill with the Prize Distribution Center, calling in regards to the contest entered sometime back in hopes of winning the grand sweepstakes giveaway. Contest is officially over. We are looking at your entry form. We do have your (this part was garbled) for ya. What you need to do as soon as possible is give me a buzz back here in the office, I can be reached at 1-800-301-3436 . Again that's 1-800-301-3436. Thank you congratulations!"
First I called the 708-441-3679, just minutes after they called me, and I got the message that the call couldn't be completed as dialed, to check the number and try again, error 007P. So then I tried the 800-301-3436 number, and as I expected, no answer. It did bring me to a menu to put in the extension # of the party I wanted to speak to, or to dial "0" for the operator. Well, I tried random numbers hoping to enter a correct extension to speak to a human being, no luck there. So I tried "0" and still no answer!
I've not entered any contest, nor have I given these people any consent to have any relations to me or my household. This is a new landline phone that I have gotten, haven't had it 6 months yet, so no, I've not signed up to anything or any contests with this phone number. I'm already on the Do Not Call List, signed up the day my landline phone was activated. So I've filed a report with the FCC from the links given above in hopes to stop these scam artists from conning anyone else. I strongly urge others who get these calls to report them as well, because if the FCC gets enough complaints about this person or "business", they will investigate it.
I called them back at the 800#, left a voicemail stating that I wanted to be put on their Do Not Call List, and left my phone number and said that I want to be put on there effective immediately, just so that I have made an active effort to put a stop to the issue, regardless if they follow through or not. In my defense, I've got that complaint filed with the FCC as well to back me up.
Recently, at my bank, a bunch of credit/debit card numbers were compromised, not sure if this scam has anything to do with it or not, but it just goes to show you have to be really careful who you put your trust in. And this stuff I'm reading about this "Bill" guy, and and especially after the call I got today, it all seems pretty shady to me.
For those who want to file a complaint, this is the link:
