- Jothe call was from 1-800-996-0081. Seems like Bill has been a busy boy for quite some time. He also changes phone numbers quite often. Seems like the scam stays the same. Always a sweepstakes entered some time ago, good news, and a Lincoln Navigator.

- GraytDane| 1 replyGot the message from James today...866-313-0311
My wife and kids really think weve won a new car. I call James back and he expains ive won the Navi or $45,000, or $2,500, a vacation, or a 32" tv.
I see this is truly a scam...but im pretty broke. Maybe a few hours of high pressure sales is worth a new TV????
Has anyone attended and been happy with the stupid bogus prize???????? - The Beach`Got a call from a fella saying that I won a Lincoln Navi. Message said I entered a contest sometime ago. Never entered a contest sometime ago. Jim, keep your road yacht, take my number off your scam list I'll contact my people, about your people. We'll do lunch and take a meeting. Nice try.
P.S. Never called back. Folks, they're calling you at your private residence with a too good to be true story.....leave-them-alone.... 'nuf said.- Caller: none mentioned
- wm replies to LBI had a message on my machine from Tony. He had supposedly been trying to contact me for some time regarding a drawing that my husband and I had entered. We needed to call him back so that we could claim one of the four prizes that we had won. I took the chance and called the number back, I spoke to a Mrs. Carolyn who told me that me or my husband had entered a drawing 12 to 18 months at The Florence Civic Center and we were guaranteed to win either a 2010 Ford Explorer or $27,000 in cash; a trip of 3 or 4 choices, or a 27 in T.V.. This was sponsered by Festiva Resorts and was in honor of their grand opening in Murrells Inlet, SC. First we don't remember ever registering for any drawing. She said the only info that she had was our name, telephone #, age range and of course that we had a combined income of over $50,000. She wanted a confirmation that we would attend the ceremony to receive our prize, she them gave me a claim #, and said that she would fax or e-mail me the confirmation when I gave her the date. I began checking and I found this web site. I have been called from at least 4 different numbers and I will report them.
- Inkhound replies to GraytDanejim left a message yesterday, same number, same news, same lincoln navigator. glad i saw these posts and didn't waste anymore time. Hey jim, what goes around comes around....
- still billMarch 3 still bill ...same story
- KLM replies to amylynnI got the exact same call in the Boston, MA area. I just called them back. There is no Bill (big surprise!!), but I spoke to "Terry" who said the drawing is tomorrow, then later said the drawing is at the end of the month. He said I'll be notified by certified mail if I won. He didn't give me a time or date or what the "event" is where we'll have to go once the drawing is held, but from what it sounds like, it's a time-share presentation and a big scam. I asked if he could tell me where I entered. He said he wished he could, but contests were held all over the country at hotels, gas stations, fairs and online.

- Me replies to all| 2 repliesI received these same calls from Benjamin Art and Bill from 8774588013 and 8003013436. Remember when you get your Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes, usually there is a contest in it also to win a Lincoln Navigator or some other car. Sometimes you have to sign your name on the entry. I beleive this is where they get our names. I have 4 sweepstake entries right now and they all have something else to win and all require a signature. Now I know not to sign my name to anything else. Thanks for all of your information.

- Bill called us too replies to Me replies to all| 1 replyThanks for the site. After reading three years of messages on the board I can't believe he is still making calls. If anyone actually goes to one of the meetings I'd love to read about what happened.
Same Bill Same Story.
1-312-488-1852 was the number that was on our caller id - KJ replies to Bill called us tooJust got the same call last week. I called over the weekend no answer. Left message still waiting to hear back. A couple people on here commented and said they were going to go to the meeting and let us know how it turned but, no one has.
- Be| 1 replyI also recieved a call from Bill saying I had won a Navigator in the Grand Sweepstakes Giveaway. He called me from 312-962-0076 and the call back number was 1-800-301-3436. I called back and got an answering system with everything in Bills voice. I left no message the first 3 times I called. When I called a fourth time, someone answered the phone, said Bill was in a meeting. She asked for my name to see what I was calling about. Put me on hold while she checked and I waited over 20 minutes before hanging up. I questioned if this was a scam so I waited to see how long this would take for someone to return to the phone.

- GezelligChances are high that what you will "win" is the trip. These things aren't totally worthless. Usually you make a reservation in advance and pay a $50 refundable deposit. Availability is limited but you do get a hotel room that would otherwise not sell. So the hotels sign up with a travel company and gives them unused space to sell, who turns around and sells these "vacations" to be given as prizes. If I knew I was going to be in a certain city on a certain date well in advance, I might stay at one of these hotels because I hate spending my money on hotels. I have not gone on one of the cruise offers; but apparently they are junket trips from Florida to Nassau or Freeport in the Bahamas. Of course you have to pay all transportation to get there to the boat; but it is what it is. This robocall method by which they get you to visit their timeshare stinks though. When I use to go to these timeshare presentations, I got to telling the sales person up front that there was no way I was going to buy a timeshare. This would generally make them angry, because I was wasting their time; but I least I did not have to hear the "only an idiot would turn down this offer" speil.

- Patricia Ramirez replies to Sherry| 1 replyBill called me today from 1-800-301-3436 and told me that I won a 2010 Lincoln Navigator. Bill asked me some questions and I asked Bill some questions. Bill got mad at me because I asked too many questions and Bill called me a Female DOG (the "B" word). I called back and talked to Bill's supervisor and he said he agreed with his associate and he hung up on me.
- Punk replies to Patricia RamirezGot the same call from Bill.
I called Bill back and after some polite chit chat, I asked him if I could fax my credentials to him right away so I could claim the Navigator.
Well I have now faxed Mr. Bill of 10,000 pages of legal mumbo jumbo and will continue to fax him until his phone lines burn up.
Suggest everyone does the same.
Call Bill and ask him for his fax number.
Gotta love these guys......
