how did they get my mobile, except through facebook!

these people called, did not talk, but, i heard someone in the background yelling, "just tell her i'm not here!".  i assume it may have been a manager trying to dodge a person not happy and asking to speak to the manager.

I have registered with the national do not call registry. Why should I have to make a toll call to tell them not to call me? When I answer they tell me to call them back. I won't.

Caller ID says Public Interest Co. It's either got something to do with the upcoming midterm election or they're trying to solicit money. Either way I'm not interested. Just a day in the life.

Why do these "charity" calls think that harrassing me with daily phone calls is going to change my mind?  Why are they allowed to harrass me when the calls are made by for-profit companies?  The opt-out option doesn't work because they change their numbers FREQUENTLY.  

My only response is to pick up the phone by a tv speaker and hang up after a minute or so.  The call will cost them -- not me.

Just got a call from 801-484-1107 -- since I won't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, I let it go to voice mail and of course, no message was left.  Just added the number to my "spam" folder where the phone won't ring if the number is in this folder.  Guess they don't want to talk to me very badly ;-)

I answered the phone and twice the message says, a representative has just missed you.  If you have any question please call pick at this number 801-484-1107.  SCAM  SCAM  SCAM.  I am on the DO NO CALL LIST.

I get a call from this number every day.  Usually, I let the call go into voice mail, but they don't leave a message.  Lately, I've been answering the calls, but they hang up.

Its long been a bit of etiquette on the Internet that typing in all caps gives the appearance of being a screaming clown - very rude or ignorant.  Just a tip, turn your 'all caps' off and type like everyone else does.  You aren't a telegram.

Calls nightly, only leaves message to "call this number during normal business hours." State AG's website says this number has been associated with a telemarketing "donation" scam. We are on state and federal do not call lists (which are, in our experience, worthless).

I can never talk to anyone when I return this call, it rings and hangs up. I sent an email to the above posted site requesting that I be removed. I asked for my other information and I typed in "non of your business', they don't need further information to harass me with. I said I would call the BBB and contact my lawyer for harassment charges should they continue. We'll see if they stop.

I too am on the do-not-call list but keep getting these folfs every night who hang up.
How do I report them ?

If you are getting these calls on your cell, save their number to your phone book then assign them a ring tone of NONE.  That way when they call your phone won't ring!

legitimate non profit charities do not call 3 -4 times per day and when you ask them to stop calling they refuse. Now they just call and when I answer they hang up on me. Nice! So I think Monk is not being paranoid at all. Their behavior is to the point of harrassment.

Been getting phone calls from these azzhats every day for two weeks.  Sometimes I get two calls a day.  Asking to be removed from their list has done nothing.  

Today I filed a complaint with the BBB.  For a settlement, I am demanding $16,000 -- the equivalent of the fine for violating the FTC regulations.  Each time they call me from now on, I will ammend my complaint for an additional $16,000, since the FTC fines are "per offense".  Seems fair to me.

If I can confirm that it was the AOPA that gave these d-bags my number, that will be the end of my decades-long association with them
