As several others have already stated, this company is a debt collector of student loans, and several other forms of debt. As professional as they like to think they are, Williams & Fudge Inc. are scumbags who resort to illegal means to obtain your private information for the sole purpose of harassing you. Their collectors are rude low life's with little to no college education whatsoever (think about it... if you had a college degree, why take a pathetic job as a low paid debt collector who needs to meet a monthly quota in order to make his /her paycheck commissions?).

They have also been known to notoriously use caller ID spoofing software so that you don't know it's them that's calling to harass you. File a consumer complaint against them with your local Attorney General office, the Attorney General office in South Carolina (where they're based), and with the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov

Don't simply sit around and hope they won't call again, because they will... and they will NOT stop. Take a stand and file those complaint letters against them. Mail any printed copies to them too so that they know they're now in trouble with state and Federal consumer protection agencies!

These low life have harass me for over 10 years in which I have paid all my student loans. I tried to pay the loan off from my previous university in 1985, but they not only wanted the amount, but they wanted 3 times the amount of which you have been charged for from the school. My wife and I wanted to pay it off, but still they are talking crazy in the amount they want. They put it on my credit report at one time, and it finally came off a few years back. They now continued to come me once again. They call you at 8am and after 9pm and I do know the law. They leave a sour taste in my mouth, and I want as long as I live I won't give them a dime. Thanks!!!

My residence has been receiving calls from this phone number and they always ask to speak with my older brother. We have told them numerous times that he does not live here anymore and that they need to stop calling this phone. We have also mentioned to them that he has no way of contacting them any time soon. Usually it is a woman that calls, and she is very rude, and at times, i'll answer the phone and they will not say anything, they will just hang up on me. When my brother did live with us, and he was busy when they called, they would demand to speak with him, that it was urgent. And it never was. They are extremely rude and do not need to be running a business. They are always trying to get money out of people.. and threatening my older brother with jail time if he doesn't pay up. This place needs to be shut down. Its ignorant. I normally hang up on them when they call because they get so rude and obnoxious.

I received a call one day telling me that I owed over $8000 dollars at a school in which I had never attended let alone heard of. A rep called a few times a week (even weekends) after 8pm, which would have been almost midnight there, asking for a monthly payment of over $300. When I asked for documentation of these so-called charges I was told I had been sent several invoices in the last month, which was a complete lie!! I believe my spouse was naive enough to give out our personal info during one call, address and SSN (which I could have killed them for LOL) and over two months later we received a letter. These people threatened us and said we had to pay all of $8000 in full and we were foolish to not accept their "kind" offer to make $300 payments! What!?! What professional writes a letter like that. No detailed info was provided, just a letter stating "Give me money or else". We started to seek legal consult and within 1 week of receiving BS letter, the debt was on our credit report. During the dispute process it was found to be a fraudulent company who had contacted us. We had to spend a little money protecting ourselves, but it was definitely worth it! Anyone who posts that this is a "legit" company is most likely one of the  POS scammers who stays up until midnight looking for their next victim. If you do find they report you to credit agencies dispute it as soon as possible, I promise it wont take long for the investigation to find what you are saying is true and remove the fraudulent charges. As someone posted earlier, don't be lazy, do your homework and report the people. You worked too hard for your money!

Many repeated calls from this number. Sometimes the caller will say "Thomas, call me (Ryan, Joe, Laura or whoever) at this number: 1-803-329-9791." They leave no name of company, no reference to what the call is about.
There is no "Thomas" at this address or number!
I know they are a collection agency for students loans. Our children are long out of college and any loans they had have been re-paid
What actions can I take to make these calls stop?

so i get a call from them on a daily basic a month, and they wont stop calling. Now I know the name of the loan companys i took out and they r not one of them.  So after finally months of calling I pick up and I get the rudest woman in the world who answers.  After i gave her my number and name she is like you owe money to this college THAT I NEVER WENT TO. So I nicely tell her I didnt go to this college but another one.  Well she dont believe me!  Then she gives me the last digits of the ssn and the mailing addy of where this person lived at.  So i tell her that isnt mine, so she ask for my snn. i tell her how i know this isnt a scam. SO THEN SHE YELLS AT ME SAYING I'M TELLING YOU, YOU'RE THE PERSON WERE LOOKING AT AND YOUR NOT MAKING NO SENSE. So as i am about to hang up in her face she gives me the ssn and addy again, and i realized oh wait that's my dad she is looking for not me. cuz me and him have the same name hence why I am a Jr.  so she said oh well what is his number so i tell him he walked out when i was 4 yrs old. and she is like ok we will tell them we have his son and not the dad bye. the woman couldnt even say sorry for yelling.  i swear these peeps r rude. never ever do business with them.

These people call me off and on.  Sometimes two or three times a day for a week and then suddenly forget about me or hope I'll forget.  They leave different kinds of messages, some even acting like it's an urgent business matter.  I'm not dumb.

The first time they called it woke me and I had a super-hangover.  Lady was a [***].  Treated me like I was her child, telling me that I was in serious trouble asking what I was going to do about it. I hung up.  Must not be too much trouble as they're the only ones calling me. I saved the number as "Evil [***]" and only answer now and then when I feel like being an [***].  I just act like I have a severe mental condition and don't know who they're calling for. Gives me a nice rush.

And yes, I will be the first and only one to comment and man up to owing these people money.  I owe them for a whole semester.  But, I have no money, so my credit will free fall into hell as they call over and over. Who cares.

These slimeballs called my elderly mother scaring her into giving my info out. I called them to get info and was treated like garbage.  When I asked for the information on the account and who was hiring them, they refused and claimed they did not have to give me anything.

Then , this morning, they started calling at 7:45 am.

I hope they like Lynyrd Skynyrd fans since there is an ad on Craigs List for cheap tickets.

This jerk calls from this number, asking for my neighbor!  Says he can't reach him, and has been trying to get in touch with him.  Have I've seen him...(I barely know my neighbor).I told him he better call 911!  He says it's not urgent, and will just keep trying...but in the meantime, if I see the guy next door...blah, blah...

These guys work for Westwood College online, among others.

I know this because I attempted to attend their college, and ended up not. The CEO of the umbrella corporation that owns Westwood told me "All Dept Wiped Clean" { 2grand worth of toolkit for an animation's class + class tuition}.

The tuition was wiped clean, but Williams and Fudge keep hounding me about the tool kit, which I returned. Unfortunately, I never got a receite for the return, so I have no idea how to prove it.

But the people who said they call at all hours are right. I've had calls before 7am and after 8pm from these guys. they've called as much as every 20 minutes for 3 hours before.

I got fed up and stopped answering.

Now I'm getting the automated calls that when you pick up it says "Please hold for an available associate to assist you" as if I'd called them. WTH?!?!

I remember the first time I got a voice mail from them - I went "Williams and Fudge? is that a chocolate company?"

i let it go to voicemail... the call actually came from the 803 number.
"hey liz, this is ryan, give me a call back at 1800-551-5772"
wow, how PROFESSIONAL. i get these calls all the time, it really sucks. i never answer numbers i don't know. i'm planning on changing my number within the next year.

    Wow
I didn't recognize the # when they called my cell, so I let them leave a message.  "Hi, [my name]!  This is Kristy.  Give me a call back at 803..., extension..."  I MIGHT have called it back had I not heard so much typing in the background as if it were a sales call.  Then I thought to look it up online and came across this site.  I actually got mail from Williams & Fudge before and they had called my mother's house, which was my "permanent address" while I was in college.  Oddly enough, the amount they said I owe to the library is so LOW that it made me suspicious.  I don't plan to call back.

I received tw call within minutes of eachother. Each time I let it go to voicemail.

When I called to inquire WHY they were calling, the rep explained that they called my number in error and would not call back again.

    We will see about that....
