- Kyle replies to Anji| 1 replyThey called me about once a week regarding a fee I forgot to pay from The Art Institute.
She was very nice and after telling her that coming up with the money right now would be really hard, she offered to split the payments up over a year at no interest.
For a collections agency, they're pretty reasonable. - Mel| 4 repliesI dont want any of what ever they are selling. We work all day and it is very annoying for my phone to ring over and over.
- smomCaller ID came up only as South Carolina. Caller said he was a Mr. Cheek(sp) from the William and Fudge collection agency and that I had cosigned a college loan for my duaghter back in the mid 1990's and would I name an amount that they would accept as payment. When we tried to call back to find out if the co. was ligit, we were informed ext2295 was unavailable would leave our name and social security number.

- Texas"Laurie" from the Williams Fudge collection agency...my old, shady apartment complex hired them to collect money from tenants for "damages" from months or years after moving out! It's complete garbage. They will NOT stop calling!!!
- Vet RAVEreceived call from 803-329-9791 ext 2269 asking for my relative. I told Ms. King that I will give my relative a message. I didn't know that it was a collection agency and I will probably regret making a connection to my relative. For now on I WILL NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION REFERENCE TO BEING RELATED UNLESS THE CALLER WILL IDENTIFY THE AGENCY AND PURPOSE OF THE CALL. I WILL NOT RELAY ANY MESSAGES EITHER. This may be the best response to protect a relative and self.

- jeane replies to Williams Fudgepacker| 1 replyYou need to go back to the book from where this information
came and clarify your facts, which are incorrect. If they
are calling you, there is a reason for the call. Maybe
you should "deal with it!" - Pay my bills replies to Lena| 5 repliesIf they are calling your number, there is a reason for the calls.
If you deal with the reason for the call, the calls will cease.
Make sense? - pay my bills replies to liz| 2 repliesIf you deal with the reason for the phone call,
the phone calls will cease. Make sense to you? - UNKNOWN replies to MelIf you are getting calls from this number, it's not
a sales call. - QI just received a call from a Williams & Fudge employee. I found this out via a Google search of the incoming phone number. He fradulantly represented himself saying he was calling trying to find a friend of mine (the person in default of a student loan)because he represented an employer that wished to contact him. Of course he only wanted his phone number and current address- information that would have been on his application. Smelling a rat, I declined to release any information. He sounded very disappointed at my lack of information.

- PatReceived a call from these people, told them I wasn't whom they were looking for and they insisted that I was, told them not to call my number again and they became rude and told me they would be calling again. I am frightened and need to report this.

- Pay my bills TOO! replies to Pay my billsWhy are you even posting anything. You obviously don't know anything about this company....your not the only one that pays your bills.
- J.T.They called my grandma's house while I was there on my lunch hour and asked me to track down her neighbor for them. It showed up on the caller ID as a South Carolina call. I hope they don't call her back when I'm not there. She is very elderly and can barely take care of herself.
- JCThey called a few days ago, left no message on my answering machine. Caller ID just said "Unknown Name". Most likelly they're looking for the clown who used to have this number before we got it...we get calls from everyone under the sun, looking for him.
- amazed! replies to annoyed| 1 replySeriously.... with a 803 area code..... scam costing you hundreds of dollars? You are watching too much DateLine o NBC! Be an adult.
- g replies to MM| 9 repliesReceived calls after calls, and they too claim that I owe money to my school I've been out of for years, only for me it's over $3,000. All of my schooling was student loans, which I'm paying back, and this is the first I've heard of a debt outside what I've financed. No letters from the school, calls, etc... nothing. When I tell w&f that, they say it's doubtful that I've not received any kind of warning that they're collecting. I'm constantly patronized and have been hung up on more than twice. They ask very very personal questions, like 'am I married?' which has nothing to do with the fact that they're collecting. I ask for more information on this alleged debt, and they send pages of numbers representing loans and amounts I've taken out, but no where do they indicate a three g debt. I am so confused, and the school has yet to respond to me to explain what's going on with my account. I am not paying anything until someone can take the time to tell me why I owe, especially when I am already paying loans that cover that "debt". They say it's been reported to creditor agency, so I feel hosed. No matter what I do to communicate with them and solve the issue, I'm getting nowhere. Anyone know where I can find out if others have the same issues/ complaints? Did most of you who have probs with them go to Art Institutes Int'l??
- g replies to CCB| 2 repliesSounds like my situation, and it was worth it to hire legal help? I feel like they could defeat it and then I would waste my money, and have to pay them absurd amts in the end. Glad I read your post, I will dispute dispute dispute, and file a complaint or two. Thanks!
- g replies to FrymastermeatYes, me too, as far as the patronizing goes. They/ she will tell you you don't know what you're talking about, that you must be making things up, when you know you are responsible and would acknowledge a letter of notice of debts owed, who wouldn't want to avoid contact with these people?? Ridiculous. They're rude and ugly people, and do not want to work with you to figure out a solution, they want you and your credit to suffer and will not communicate with you to really work it out.
- Casey M.I get several calls from these A$$holes. I have student loans, that I'm still paying, and I'm in constant contact about my loans. I use Gov. loans, and Sallie Mae...both of which are paid current. Must be a scam or something old, like a gym membership I signed a contract for, paid for use, then stopped going...they wanted me to pay the whole membership fee, for leaving...but I paid a first and last month fee..wtf? Obama should get these folks to stop scamming.
