been receiving calls daily - sometimes 2x/day - not even for people living here. called number - mailbox full - no way to speak to anyone.

received the same msg about 2 fraudulent charges and will be summoned, tried calling back but no answer... question i just purchased tickets to a las vegas event, with all comments so recent i wonder if theres some connection. no company name is given

I've been getting calls for about 2 months from this number.  Same message as everybody else but they are looking for Timothy Kelly.  Nobody at my home by that name.  Irritating.  Sometimes there are multiple calls in one day.  At first it was an electronic woman's voice, now it's switched to a man's voice.

I received this call at my sister house saying that my name was attached to my social security number and about fraudulent accts gave me a reference number to call them well i did and i c
ursed the person out n told her to go straight to hell ,and take that as fraudulent n then she hung up its a scam

Received my first voice mail from 804-420-4838 on Thursday, 4/23/15.  I tried returning the call and never reached anyone.  I received another call today, Monday, 4/27/15.  I returned the call immediately and reached a live person.  I was told that two incidents of financial fraud were linked to my social security number.  Thinking I had legitimately been involved in a case of identity theft, I initially went along with the questions they were asking.  Confirm my name and the last four of my social sec number.  Then they told me that I was the one guilty of financial fraud!!  They told me that they had proof that I had taken a loan out in 2012 while employed at an actual previous place of employment and that I closed the account that the funds were deposited into shortly after taking out the loan preventing the company from collecting.  I knew this was total bull because in 2012 I was not living in the state they said I took the loan out in and hadn't for several years nor was I working at the place of employment they mentioned in 2012.  They told me that they had sent a sheriff to my former address (which truely was my former address) and that unless I set up a payment plan on the phone with them immediately, I would be served at my present address either at work or at home.  I told them that unless they could prove that this loan had actually been made, I would be a fool to set up any kind of payment plan.  They said the only way they would send proof of the loan was upon my first payment.  LMAO!!!  Their final words to me were, "Good luck in court." and they hung up on me.

I called the number and asked to be removed.  It worked for about a month, then the calls started again.

I keep getting messages from this number also. Basically they want you to give them your S.S.# so they can then use it.  The problem for me is that I cannot block this from my cell phone. UGH!

same harassing BS calls as everyone else. no identification, just scare tactics. calling at work and home

I have been getting these calls from all different phone #.  I would love to call and give them the same  type of call.

Received this call today about what everyone is saying they know my first and last name and something about my social. Made my wife upset and scared she's due in 4 weeks for our son and now she's stressed out. This [***] is bs. She thought i was going to jail or something but reading everything from everyone else seems like a scam. I tried calling it back but no answer and inbox is full. This is just pathetic.

OMG I just got a call 2 minutes ago, Scared the hell out of me.  I'm so glad I didn't call back. Thank you for the info.  I will definitely block this number.

I got the same Message as well/ I called back they hung up on me then I called again and they put me on hold for like 5-10 min I hung up.

My mother said they tried to ask her for my social security number. It is a total scam. They told my mother I wrote hot checks - I haven't written a hot check in 15 years and that was an accident plus I rarely even write a check anymore.

It's pretty simple.  This group is trying to scam you.  Trying to scare you into paying the money.   If a case had been filed in your local court, you would have heard about it from the attorney for the other side.  There would be a paper trail.  Debt collectors as a rule are not licensed to practice law and have nothing to do with the legal process.  A summons can only be delivered to you by a person licensed or authorized by the state to deliver summons.  No scammy debt collector can do that.   And no legitimate process server notifies you in advance.

Like I say.  Total scam.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.  If you can find them.  Nobody knows where they are located but I think it is somewhere in the Midwest.

I just received the same call everyone is describing.  They called my cell and my home number.  I want to know how that got both my numbers.

Got a call from these guys today. I'm usually not phased too much by these things but this one really unsettled me. Claimed 2 counts of fraud have been filed "in your county" and once i had been served there was no turning back. Didn't give them anything. Thought it was a scam as i have never misrepresented myself in any way, but am very glad to find this site and confirm it.
