Leaves no message.

I keep ignoring and they keep trying as we are on the Do Not Call list.

hangs up when I answer

I get calls from this number and their other number, (325) 375-0086.
They call at least 3 or 4 times a day! STOP!!!! I am about ready to disconnect my home phone just to make all of the scammers to stop calling me.

This number has come up on my cell phone caller ID many times, but they never leave a message. Thought I'd answer today to put an end to it, or at least figure out who they were. Caller asked to speak to a specific person, I did not acknowledge or deny that she was speaking to that person, but asked "may I ask who is calling?" She identified herself as Ashley (?) from R&J Holdings, and she wanted to have me take a brief survey (would take no more than 3 minutes, she assured). She asked if I currently had any investments, and then asked if I would be interested in receiving some information on investments. A "no" answer to both ended the call quickly.

I'm not sure if it was a legitimate "survey", or if that just opened the door for a solicitation. The call didn't get that far. They gathered no specific information from me.

I answered. They hung up.

So, they call and ask for someone in the office, and I tell them they are not available and ask if I can take a message.
They say "no message"  and I yell at them --- WHAT IS YOUR CALL REGARDING?????  
Because I am SUPPOSED TO TAKE A MESSAGE AT MY JOB!!!  
And she said "no message"  and again I say -- WHAT IS YOUR CALL REGARDING???
And she says to me " WELL IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LIKE THAT -- I AM GOING TO TAKE YOU OFF THE CALL LIST!!""  
OMG -- DID THIS JUST WORK??? YES -- TAKE US OFF THE CALLING LIST !!!!  (angels sing!!)

I'm on the DNC list, and as usual with numbers I don't recognize, I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  Funny thing is that my phone cut off the name from the caller ID:

This board is simply a sounding board for people to vent and inform others of scam telemarketing calls they receive.  There is no authority associated with the 800notes site to stop these callers.  In order for people to collectively stop these type calls they must act together - and TAKE ACTION!  It doesn’t do any good to complain about a caller on this board unless you then take the next step and do something about it!  The caller ID number is usually a ‘Spoof Number” – A Fake!  Never, never, ever engage the caller or call back the number.  The false robocallers will then capture your number as a ‘live one’ and use it over and over and sell it to other scammers.  The same goes if it prompts you to ‘press a key’ to ‘opt out’  of their calling lists, or be transferred to someone, as this will only ‘log’ your number as a working one and make it ripe for future calls and to be sold to other scam companies as well.
The best option is simply to hang up, keep your own list of calling numbers with dates and times and report them to the FCC below.  There is space on their complaint form to list several calling dates and times of a repeat caller.
The DO NOT CALL list is worthless, they do not act on anything, just build a database of numbers.
In order to do something to help stop these type calls, everyone - EVERYONE needs to file an online complaint directly with the FCC.  If they receive enough complaints about a particular number - they will act on it.  Do it today and pass along the info:

I have received a call from 813-899-2012 three different times in the last 3 weeks....they ask for my husband, won't leave a message, told me they are a holding company...all 3 times they have called late evening......annoying!

This number called our business today at 1436 hours.  As with so many others, the call disconnected without anyone on the other end.  Caller ID showed "LJ Bay Area Ho..." (Holdings, apparently.)  They have an "F" rating with the BBB because of their continuous pattern of hang-ups, calling DNC listed numbers, failing to comply with requests for them not to call, etc.  www.bbb.org/west-florida/business-reviews/tel ... mpa-fl-90046512#  Considering they are apparently from the fraud state of the world (Florida), I can't say I'm surprised.

L & J Bay Area Holdings hasn't called me since 4/9. Before that, they called once or twice daily from a few numbers also using different names. I hoped they had given up but their back calling again.

I have reached my limit of calls I can block with my phone provider. This is a new number and company name that decided I have time to answer the calls they make to my home. Never speak to me so far all calls have hung up with no background noise. I know they are auto bot calls learning what time of day someone from my number will pick up when they call. Another scam crew working on trying to get something for nothing I'm sure. A real job would take the same amount of effort, so why not try it? What a shame people can't enjoy peace and quite at home without these people trying to pull a scam on good honest people anymore.

L & J Bay Area Holdings calling again on 06/09/2014 @ 05:21 PM from Tampa, FL. We won't answer and they never leave a message. I should block them but those blocks a reserved for my worst offenders.

I just checked my Caller ID and they no longer are showing their name, only their phone number.

I work in a very very busy office and unnecessary phone calls are so frustrating! I wish there was a way to get through to company's like this and get them to understand we don't want their services and quit wasting my time because your unwanted calls cause me to lose income!!! Does anyone do business with people that piss them off??

BTW, what does DNC mean?
