Note real skip tracers will not call you, I am one, and dont need to call, we would ping your phone to locate you, look on your social media, and speak to neighbors and couple other things  These are debt collectors, and tey are way different than us.  We must adere to State and Federal rules the debt collectors adhere to nothing.  FYI if they say they are skip tracers ask their license number they are required by law to give it, same with process servers and investigators.

Called my place of employment asked my boss to talk to me. She asked who she was and she said that she needed to verify my employment and my boss asked for who and and she said i cant give you that information and hung up.

I received as call from this number 10 mins ago askibg to verify my employment. I asked her where is she calling from she said verifacts and i asked her what was this call about. She says it to verify employment. I said verify employment for what. She got angry and said have a good day. I file a complaint to the illinois attoneybgeneral office.

Keeps calling my work. First time pretended to be unemployment office.

Called to verify my employment - when I asked what it was for they said if I was willing to verify the last 4 of my social security number they could tell me. I said I’m not giving anyone my social or my actual address unless they disclose who they are verifying employment for. She said she understood and said “so you are working full time?” (Since I answered the phone at work AND said “this is Star how can I help you?” I said no I am just helping until they hire someone as their office manager quit

Called my work office parent company then called my department to speak to me asked me to verify my birthday and told them I do not want to confirm or give my personal info over phone if I don’t know what they do.

Employers beware!  In most instances you must have your employees signature allowing you to give out employment verification.  I had a call today asking for a verbal verification and I said we don't do those.  I demanded they send a fax or email with the employee's signature confirming their permission (such as for a loan or a mortgage or unemployment insurance).  Instead a fax document comes through with no header, no identifier of what company is sending the fax, no employee signature--I'm like, is this a joke.  Who would be stupid enough to fall for this.  It's insulting actually.
