So in other words you have no idea at all if "everything they do is 100% legal". In fact, for all you know, everything they do might be 100% illegal. Thanks for clearing that up.

I have to say I'm surprised you came back to defend this company further. Since you think so highly of them, though, why do you keep avoiding requests for their full name and business address?
And by the way - you said "judging by what I've read they obviously legal". What have you read that leads you to believe they're legal?

call from verifacts 815-380-9635 ask me if I knew my neighbor..and said my address and ask who ,lives at that address we all do I said its apt I ask how he knew to call me about my neighbor

They keep calling me at work and I get in trouble for it. The number they are calling from is

Caller indicated they were calling from VErifax .  the # was 815-380-9534

Called my work number from 815-380-9528 and said they were from Verifacts. I thought it might have to do with work, so I gave them my work address. I was surprised when she asked me my birth date! I said that is strange, but she said it's to verify she is talking to the right person. I just bought a house this year and cleaned up all my delinquent accounts. I will be surprised if I actually get any debt collection notice from this. I'm sure that we completed it all, or I wouldn't have been able to get my mortgage.

Verifacts is a skip trace firm. They try to track people down for legal purposes. They advertise as "Accounts Receivables Management" which is just another name for debt collector. I would ask anyone trying to "verify" your info to send the request in writing, because you never know who you're really talking to on the phone. Be very, very careful.

Unwanted calls to my employer

beware now this company is calling your place of employment

Said they were from Verifax.  It was a recording and I hung up

1-800-542-7434 ext 513. This people needs to get a legit job, they kept calling our company and asking to speak to HR/payroll etc and if you asked them what they are, they will basically tell you to give them info so they can give you info. HANG UP,THEY'RE FISHING!

They called my boss about me on his personal cell phone. He refused to say anything but that i work for him. So the called the store and the manager said they would get me and they hung up. Several times in fact. But everytime someone offered for them to talk to me they hung up.

Got a call from a company called verifax at work wanting to update my info and i wasnt thanking and i fell for it.  Anything i can do to try to prevent my identity stolen???!

Also they called from 815-380-9642 and asked to call 800-542-7434 to "verify employment".  They called yesterday also asking for an employee with two given last names.  I did not want to give any information especially since I did not know who they were or what they wanted.

Just got a call from here, she said she thought she had the wrong number but was about to say my business name, & started to say my 1st name when I was like who is this & from where & why?!? She said the same thing everyone has posted here, & I was like what happens if I decline to answer your questions, she's like you can do that & hung up. I can't find a way to call the company back. I have taken your advice & called the atty gen... she says there is only 1 complaint. Looks on BBB & same thing only 1 complaint. I'll be making a complaint as well.
