- JacksonIt's Citi's hardcore, take no prisoners collections department. They have been on me for a few years now due to getting behind on paying them. The last time they called, they told me to pay up if I like being above ground, or some crap like that. They have threatened federal prison as well. True, I am the deadbeat who stopped paying them, but they will stoop to any level to try and scare somebody into paying. It's really amazing.
- aceholeContinually call but don't leave messages. If I answer no one is on the line. I have no citibank credit.
- MarkI must get 10 calls a day from this number. Never answer it and they never leave a message.
- Caller: citi corp
- Call type: Telemarketer
- cocodogWe've been getting calls from Citicorp for months. We file an FTC after every time they call, and we are on the no-call list. We do not now, or have ever had, a Citicorp account. How can we get this to stop?
Additionally, usually the number is 4004. This is a new number, and I will file this one with the FTC as well. - tomb replies to Lauratell them to cease and decist FDCPA Fair Debt Collection Practice Act and FTC the Federal Trade Commision. looking or a debtor a lot off attorney's like to make a quick buck of them idiots who don't listen couple grand.
- AliceGot a call today from 816-420-4003 saying it was in regard to my Citicard Master Card which was late. I said I paid all my bills online automatically. The female responded she was checking but then responded she didn't see this account number in my autopayment. She wanted a payment on the phone. I declined and said I'd check my records. When I couldn't find anything late, I had kept the number she called from that appeared on my phone and called it back. It is constantly busy. Checking online I see there are many people experienncing the same thing.
- JamesGet called at least twice a day. It's a new cell and new cell number, so I suppose it's for the old owners. Have had the cell for a couple of months now.
- vuthey call to not just you but to your friends, relatives, work place, co-workers even neighbors too ... they would try to deliver the message to you by all means ... they don't mind to bother anyone - they don't mind to embarrass you ...
they then send you bunch of same certified mail again and again to notify / warn you about your situations; still it's just another way to get to communicate with you - don't get bugged & panic!
don't let it bother you if you received calls from them specially if you know that you owe them some money ... let them call - don't even respond to their calls & never waste your time to return messages - eventually, the calls will die out & once they learn that they are unable to recover a peny from you & soon charge off letters arrive, they quit going after you (even technicall you still own them some)...
i'm into the 2nd month of default of around 10 credit lines - ha ha ha - yesterday evening alone i got 6 missed calls & so far today ... i got 14 more ... let see what they can get from me ... at the end :)
don't be annoyed & scared by these calls & callers; you have their money - just fix the credit in the future or if owe a lot - just do b.k. & start a fresh credit life again ...
i have houses, decent job & nice cars but really don't worry about losing all - my houses are worth less than 45% of what they were 3 years ago when they were bought; i can buy a different car in cash if they take the cars & auction them; if i lose my job soon, it's easier & even better for me to do chapter 7 & just walk away as a brand new man when the case is settled...
we're in this same forum so most of us may have similar situations ... all i can say are just to relax & enjoy this so beautiful life -- Caller: citi american express capitalone chase

- BjornI know a trick that might drive them bunkers. Disconnect the handset by taking the telephone handset cord out of the telephone unit itself. The dial 816-420-4003, after a couple of minutes hang up by placing the handset to back in its cradle. This will disconnect the call.
Then 5 - 10 minutes or in what frequency you prefer and repeat the above by hitting the redial button. Depending how angry you are with the CITICORP CREDIT idiots you can do this for an extended period, if nothing else you will feel much better. Yes, I an sure they will se your call-back id, but who cares.- Caller: CITICORP CREDIT
- BrendaKeeps calling and hanging up when I answer. Caller ID says "CitiCorp Credit" and the number is 816-420-4003. I know we owe them money but they should'nt call if they arent willing to talk to us.

- Jackson| 1 replyCan they legally threaten to kill you? That's what they're doing to me. Told me I would be killed and it would "look like an accident". Told me that law enforcement was "in their pockets" and having me off'd was not a problem. Is this the least bit legal?
- tx_chicaThey call my cellphone all the time. Never leave a message and when I do pick up the phone, it's silent. I guess they use telepathy now?
- Jason replies to JacksonDeath threats are never legal. Report them immediately.
- JasonI keep getting calls from them, I DO owe Citi, but this number keeps asking for my account number for "verification." I requested to be taken off their calling list, as it is very bothersome, and they hang up. I'm about to call an attorney on them.
- Mr. Smoot replies to bill| 1 replygot my 1st call today, oh joy. Putting it on block.
- CSTell them to quit calling my number. I am tired of it.
- Caller: Citi
- mlv replies to binti mfalmeDon't wait for the bill to be paid. SHRED IT NOW! Notify the credit card company now that no further charges are to be accepted on your account.
- debbsum1I keep getting calls from this number. I just received another call about 5 minutes ago. They do not leave a message either.
- SlobadonMilosevich| 1 replyIt's a collector, whether Citi or Chase, I do not know
I owe them both and will - sorry, Global Economy - BK on them, both
Alas
Sucks, but, that's how it's gotta be
They may be using the same outside collector
Wouldn't make sense, if the above poster is correct in saying that it's Chase, assuming the others are right in saying that it's Citi, that it could be both's internal collections departments- Call type: Debt collector
- JThey constantly call my work number. They do not leave a message. I called the number back and they answered CitiCard. I do have an account with Citicard..
- Caller: CitiCard
