This number is Harris Direct, and they work for non-profit agencies.  They give you the option of removing your name from their list.

I read this thread and am also receiving multiple calls daily from this # (818 591 8391), except mine are for a different charity (Haiti). Sounds like a scam

I also donated once to Doctor's Without Borders and have been absolutely bombarded by mailings and calls, including by this number. I am going to write a letter saying in this time and age, if I want to donate online I will seek them out. All the mailings are doing is making me not want to ever donate and that is a sad thing to say.

they called me for a month now. leave a blank message. i don't like doctors, with or without borders, and i would never give them money. i have no idea how my phone got there. so abusive.

We receive calls from this number upwards of 10 times per week.  I have answered to tell them to stop calling, (we are on the do not call database) but to my surprise, there is no one on the line.

Harris Direct called several times with no ID except the number 818-591-8391.  when I picked up, the call disconnected.  I finally called the number back.  The recorded vice identified them as "Harris direct, calling on behalf of a not-for-profit."  when I find out which not-for-profit is using them to harass me in this way, you can be sure they will never receive another donation.  The voice gives you the opportunity to leave your number if you do not want to be contacted again.  I did so, and also let them know that if they called again I would begin proceedings against them.

I have never donated to anyone over the phone, and I never will.

I have no idea who this number belongs to, but they are a nuisance. They call 3 or 4 times a day and stay on the line just long enough to record a blank message that then takes effort to retrieve from voicemail. When I do answer the phone, no one ever responds after I say hello several times. Apparently, telling whomever is listening but not talking to remove you from the calling list is insufficient to make the annoyingly frequent calls stop.  This company will never get my business if I ever find out who they are!

I get at least two calls a day from this number, sometimes id's Harris M, sometimes Harris D. I never answer, but still they call ....

we get calls every 5-7 minutes over a 30-40 minute period...a stream of audible harassment every day, again and again and again...

Have informed the caller to place us on the Do Not Call list....but the calls persist.
Have blocked the caller (Harris Direct) 2 separate numbers so far.
I will never EVER again donate to any of their clients...however worthy a cause. Doctors Without Borders...or anyone else who uses this company to fund raise
This is harassment, plain and simple.

They keep calling me non-stop.  It's some guy that tells me I called the wrong number and need to dial 1 first.  His response seems to be too rehearsed so I think he's lying about not really being the number.  Although I must say his voice is intriguing and makes me want to meet up with him.  I wonder if I should ask him out for dinner?

I called doctors without borders and they did confirm that they are affiliated with Harris Direct (8185918391). I told them it was harassment and that waiting 4-6 weeks to have my name put on the do not call list was unacceptable (protocol if you go through their website). The lady removed my name from the mail, e-mail and call list. I told them I would no longer donate to doctors without borders and that I hope they change their methods of gathering donations.

I am sick and tired of these people calling  five or six times a day, sometimes twice in five mins..
I never answer, but they still insist on calling. All these because I donated to doctors w/out borders
on line. My donating days are over.

I called this number and the recording said it would put my name on a do not call list. It was listed as a Harris #.
