They started calling last week ... now it is getting really annoying. I would suggest those non profits should not use this kind of services cause it is annoying and I will not donate anymore if they use these kind of tactics to force people to donate. I donate online and I rather do that when I want to donate. Do not force people to donate it is annoying.

I've been getting several calls lately from M. Harris 818 591 8391.  i am on the do not call list but realize I can be called by political parties or charities.  I would like them stopped.

Who is m. Harris?  Receiving calls all day long-leaves no message  annoying!!

Harris Direct calls almost everyday.  Sick of them.  I told them to stop calling.  It does no good.

I answered the call ... there was no response (only silence) from the caller so I hung up.  It does not pass the smell test.

harris direct is a fundraiser for non-profit organizations whose only source of income is member or supporter contributions.  they call for about two dozen groups. each has a separate file.
they have a computer dialer.  if you don't personally answer the computer redials , unfortunately ,sometimes the same day.
they are not telemarketers , so the national do not call list doesn't apply.

This company calls several times every day and no one is on the other end. If you go online the number of complaints is astronomical. Why can they not be stopped? I and all others complaining are on no call lists. Please Help!!!

Have gotten countless calls (in the area of 30? 50?) in last few months... I never answer any ID i don't know, so I don't know whether they would be there (some posts here indicate not). I DID donate to Docs w/o Borders before as well as Dem Party.
Perhaps is general fund raising group for many worthy causes, but their tactics are rude, intrusive, ineffectual and alienating. Not the way to garner charity for their clients.
Would like to see them held to a conversation, and convinced to be more respectful of the homes into which their calls are intruding.

They've been dialing my phone for ages.  Finally I answered.  She claimed to be from the Democratic National Committee and asked me to renew my membership. I said I would and she asked me what kind of credit card I'd like to put it on.  I told her that I do not give my credit card out to people who call me on the phone.  She asked why not and said she had my ID number.  I told her she just lost my donation and hung up.

Answered and she used my name in a very nasty tone. Then nothing. I said is this a recorded message, she informed me it wasn't then went totally silent. Nothing, so I hung up. It appears this is be a targeted attempt to harass donors to certain causes and thereby cut off their funding. This is a variation on the Republican phone jamming scam and the fake calls during the last election pretending to be from the Democratic candidate harassing people during dinner and being rude so people will not vote for them.Somebody is paying them to do this. We're being manipulated folks. I'm also on the do not call list.

i just received the most aggressive & offensive telemarketer from this #.  I usually don't answer #'s I'm unfamiliar w/, but because my caller ID indicated this # has called a lot, I answered.  

The woman was from the DNC, and even though I'm a loyal democrat, will vote democrat in the upcoming elections, I wouldn't give this woman a dime.  I recommend the DNC even get rid of her.  She just bowled over me, told me she knows any disappointments, objections, etc., I might have w/ the democratic party (she did?), and then did not give me a moment to speak. I finally had to just hang up.  

I called the # back, and told Harris Direct to please delete my # from their mailing list.

As I said, I'm a loyal democrat, and I bet this woman & I agree on almost all political issues, but because she wouldn't shut up, she'd never know it.  DNC - get rid of her.

I am a Doctors Without Borders donater. I have received two calls but no messages. Based on other callers reporting that this is a call from DWB I will not be answering.

I checked out their website Harris-Direct.org.  Telefundraisers.  Just ignore the call.  Charities are not restricted by the Do Not Call List.

Two calls from this number today.  They don't leave a message or, when I did pick up the phone, more out of curiosity of wanting to know who this Harris person is, they do not respond...dead silence.

They must have called at least 4 times today- and I tried dialing the number back and never even got a ring tone.  So, I called the number listed by another poster... (818) 222-3470 pressed 3 for call center and this really nice guy answered.  I told him I kept getting calls and to please remove my number from their call list- he took my number and name, told me he would take care of it.    I expect that should do the trick.

The number is from a company "Harris direct" who is contracted by many non profits to do fund raising over the phone.

People report different groups (i.e. doctors w/o borders, democratics, red cross) because that is there business. They are hired by many non-profit groups to do just that. You were chosen likely because of a previous donation from one of the groups they 'service'.

Though the goal is nice, I too find it annoying that my charity has given my number to a fund raising company.
