- KInCOI received at message from 123-456-7891, with the ID "Security Screen" (Which is a FAKE phone number).
The message leaves 832-224-5638 as the call back. They act like they are collection agents, and if we don't respond, they will be sending someone to my residence, and my place of employment. They claim they have my SSN#. They are calling relatives as well. The guy speaks with a foreign accent. Phone calls are not legal notices, which they claimed. SCAMMERS!!!! DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER BACK!- Caller: Security Screen
- Call type: Debt collector
- BMReceived a message this morning saying his name was Christopher Wallace and that he would be out to my place of residence and/or employment to serve me with a notice of intent and that I would need to have valid id. He also said I could call the claimant at the above number. Who does this? Scam for real!
- Caller: Did not leave company name
- LeatrezI received a call from the number on my home, cell phone, my place of employment two times at 9:25am and 9:27am from someone named David King. Mr. King has informed me that it would be in my best interest for me to contact him today by 5pm and they are going to proceed to verity my income and take legal action against me.
- Caller: Jonathan C Frank and Associates
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Gail M| 2 repliesI received a call on my cell phone asking for my husband. I called the 832-224-5638 while at work. I was referred to David King when I asked if I can talk on behalf of my husband. Mr. King got on the phone and (you can tell) read from a script stating the a Credit Union we owe money to from 6 years ago that we needed to pay the balance (he had the right dollar amount) or it would be taken to court, so then there would be court fees on top of unpaid balance. He said there had been several attempts to contact us (not true). I really thought it was legit until I found this site. Now I'm going to call the Credit Union and see what the truth is. Thank you to whoever set up this page!
- Caller: Law Office
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to Gail M| 1 replyWell known debt scammer around here. He is a lawyer, but a shady one. There is no need to contact anyone as Mr. Frank knows since the law states that he must not only prove that you owe the debt, but that he has the legal right to collect it.
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

Web site lists him as an attorney that also does debt collection and gives an address that is probably in a virtual office:

BBB gives him an F rating with 4 complaints: https://www.bbb.org/houston/business-reviews/ ... ton-tx-90041144
There is no LLC registered in Texas or any other state for that matter which would preclude this enterprise from legally conducting business, which a “lawyer” should know. Suddenly they are now registered in several states:
Bizapedia has this on their Texas registration:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
