This is a debt collector collecting on credit cards. The name of the company is SWCC. They are rude and demanding.

I received an call from avante asking for Joey Screen. When i asked who that was they said are you Vincent. I said yes. They then hung up. I called back the number and they said they could not give me info. on the company and would violate their privacy act. This phone is not listed in my name and i do not appreciate an collection agency calling me under false prensentes.

A man with a southern accent named Jeff Ford called me looking for a person with the same name as my father-in law.  He wanted his phone number to talk to him before he could "proceed with this case".  It was involving a civil suit in Harris County, Texas.  I took his phone number and extension, which he freely gave me and the case number and said I would inform my father-in-law and would have him call this Jeff Ford.  My caller ID said the company name is Avante

I received a call from this number today. I was not able to pick the phone so the person who called me left a message.The whole voice message is just my name. I don't recognize the voice of the person that called. I called this number back and it says it is a company-but I cannot understand the name though...WF is this?

This company called me today and left a message that they have to talk to me and it is IMPERATIVE that I call them back.  They did not say what it was they needed to talk to me about or anything else.  In fact, I do not know if they are wanting to talk to me or not as they had my name similar but all wrong.

I received a call from this company today - they left some vague message about calling them back, i didn't of course and won't. Why don't the FCC crack down on these 'shysters'?

They have called me twice both times saying they needed to talk to me about debt collection. I called back and a female answered the phone and was agrumentative and asked me didn't I have a sex life instead of calling her. She said my number would be removed from their calling system.

I had this number on my caller ID when I got home.  They called while I was at work and did not leave a message on my voicemail.  I have no credit cards nor lapsed debts.  My brother, however, does.  I may call them tomorrow and see what is going on.

these jerks have been calling for weeks but i didnt answer the first time (cause i didnt recognize the #) but i thought maybe it was some long-lost friend or something...  however, long-lost 'anyones' would probably leave a msg... theyve called every day since and not once have i received a message.  maybe i'll forward their # right back to them....  :)

every time they call me and ask for some kareem, when i say i am not kareem.they hang up and call after few days and ask for the same person

A person named Traci Adams called me today.  She left a message to contact her by 8:30 tonight, with a case number.  I wasted my own dime trying to get this resolved.  They said that the case involved someone who I have never heard and am in no way associated with. The company has yet to give me an explaination on why they are harrassing me.

I had this number on my caller id and when i got home it was like they knew when to call right when i opened the door.they asked for my mother which she dont live with me and i asked him who it was it was a guy named Gomez very rude asking if i could put my poor mother on the phone.

Had message on my phone today, 8/1, at 11:37 a.m.  Said he was Tom Jacobs, a debt collector, and that it was very important that I call him back at 832-476-1740.

I received a phone message at my place of employment from a man at this number (832 - 476 - 1739)leaving a message to call urgently I did so he was so rude and disrespectful that I hung up.    If he were a little bit nicer and understanding we may have worked out something but he was so demeaning that I refuse to deal with him or his company - Avante.     They need a lesson in customer service and politeness.     As the old saying goes "You can catch more bees with honey than vinegar."

I am a soldier serving overseas, and my father received a call from this company inregards to an account that I held with Sprint.  The caller, Christian ext 619, left a very rude and unprofessional message on my fathers machine and then again on my wifes machine back in america.  After calling and talking to him, I requested a fax number so that I could send him the information regarding my cancellation of my account with sprint prior to deployment.  The man refused to give me anything, then informed me that I was wasting my time and the we have a "mexican standoff".  This company is completely rude and unprofessional, if he would have calmed down, I could have sent him all the information to show that I owed absolutely nothing, but now, I have turned it all over to the JAG unit.

Have been receiving mutiple calls from this company. However have not been able to speak with anyone, they just hang up when the phone is answered.
Are they calling me by mistake??? Who knows.

got one myself.  Since I am female and list my number under a male name they sure have the wrong number.... just a this is about a credit card debt and I'd better call this number... they give as 8324761740 but show on caller id as 8324761739.  Glad I checked them out... they may be in for a surprise if they call again

My grandmother got a phone call this afternoon from this number...the guy asked for my father (who doesn't live there). He identified himself as Jef Ford...she asked him what the call was regarding and he said, "It looks like they own a house on 10 acres that are looking good to us." I believe he stated that he was an attorney too. I knew an attorney would never say something like that

these people are [***]. THey wont stop calling me nor will they tell me why they keep calling me. I wish it would stop!

Ok, this guy has now called my number 3 days in a row. I have told him over and over that the person he is looking for is not at this number...and asked him to quit calling. Then he started naming off MY neighbors!! And one of them has been dead for 3 yrs...how are they getting this info?? I plan on contacting The Better Buisness Bureau tomorrow.
