- Caller: Unknown Fedex

- AprilSame thing as everyone else, foreign caller, claiming to be Fed-Ex, and unable to delivery package. Ironically my package is being shipped to Walmart for pick-up, so I knew it was a complete scam, hahahaha, if a FedEx driver can't find a Walmart, then he needs to get a different job

- Julie replies to MonieI had the exact same thing last night. They called Restricted & the voicemail they left said they were from FedEx & that I needed to call them back at 833-372-5815 with my name, address & tracking number.
- NicoleFake Fed Ex Phone call. Received call stating they were having trouble delivering a package. A package I might add the was addressed to former married name (a last name I have not used in 21 yrs) SCAM!!!
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- SamReceived a voicemail on a business line after hours from 833-372-5815 stating they wer from FedEx and having trouble locating our address. They gave a reference number and asked us to call back, The voicemail sounded suspiciou, therefore I called FedEx directly and they advised that the reference number I had was not a valid number that FedEx would use. The called ID on our line show the number belongs to FedEx. Noting this as a Scam call.

- Tygerkat replies to JoeDo you often look up known phone numbers? Why?
See, what might be valid for you might not be for other people since, as you acknowledged, scammers frequently spoof legitimate phone numbers. Better to not trust a caller from this number but instead hang up and call a known phone number for FedEx, such as the one on their official website. - MikeHuntletonMost likely the scammers who call asking for your shipping address are "Return shipping" scammers, who order things using stolen Credit Cards and have them shipped to a unsuspecting "middleman" victim, who winds up having the package returned, but the catch is a return label is created by the scammer to be sent to a phony address where the scammer or accomplice picks it up and gets away with it unnoticed, since no one usually verifies where the return address is actually going to.
Here is an article that explains it somewhat:
https://clark.com/scams-rip-offs/ups-and-fede ... ou-didnt-order/ - fdr replies to melaniGot the same thing, said they were fedex & needed to confirm my home address. They knew my cell phone & 2 land line numbers. called all 3 in sequence. phone number on my caller id was different from what they left in voicemail, 13 digit number starting with 799. Best I can tell from Russia or Kazakhstan. Don't think fedex moved to Russia

- BigA replies to Brandie833 is a toll free number. So it cannot be from Russia. That indicates to me that you are purposely posting in the wrong thread.

- Tygerkat replies to MLLJust because this might be a real FedEx phone number doesn't mean scammers aren't spoofing it. Never trust a random caller to be who they claim. Instead, hang up & call a known phone number for them, such as the one on their official website.
- Angela BlackCaller said they had an un-deliverable packege please call back and give them a tracking number they provided. I didn't call.
- Caller: They said they were fed-ex ground
- JuliaCaller "Karen" Stated they were from Fed Ex ground and couldn't find me for a package that they needed to deliver asking for more info and a number if they couldn't find me
- Caller: Fed Ex Ground
- Carie| 1 replyI missed two calls from this number, and they left one voicemail regarding an incorrect shipping address. I was only expecting one package from Chewy, which I have ordered and received from in the past. Chewy did confirm that there is an address validation needed which she helped me with. She was going to work directly with FedEx to resolve. I suggest if you ARE expecting a package, to verify with the shipper if you have concerns about who contacted you?
- Caller: FedEx
- Tygerkat replies to CarieI'm pretty sure if FedEx or UPS has an issue with an address, they contact the sender, not the receiver.
- EmmaI too received a call from this number which I ignored. The second time they called they left a voice message. I ignored that too, but when I checked an order I was expecting, the website said there had been a delivery issue. I therefore thought the call legit. The message said call center was open from 10AM to 10PM. When I called at 10AM the message said to call between 2PM and 10PM. That should have been a red flag. Foolishly, I called at 2PM. Message sounded legit as I gave them the reason for my call, but then was disconnected. Not once, but twice I did this. Just now tried calling from a land line and received message that call could not be connected as dialed. I have still not received my delivery, but this is a scam. How they knew I had a delivery issue with my package is unknown to me. Do not share any information with these people.
