I'm pretty sure neither FedEx nor UPS contact the recipient if they have an issue with a package address, they contact the sender.

Just had two calls. "Angel" from FedEx, a guy, foreign, had my full name and partial address. Used 833-372-5815 and left a reference number. Said I had a package that was missing part of my address and it weighed 4 pounds.  He had no shipper info. Coincidentally, I did have a package delayed today due to a partial address issue. Makes me wonder if these people have some knowledge of FedEx's operation or if there is a malware linked to it.

I received a call from Fedex Ground asking me to call them back about my package.  He gave me a reference number also.  After looking up this site I called Fedex's main number just in case.  I confirmed with fedex's rep and she said yes that was their office number also.  They were trying to figure out what to do with my package that had the incorrect address.

Recieved a call from Indian individual claiming to be from Fed Ex. I was supposed to call back with my name, address and tracking number as they were supposedly having trouble finding my home. I was suspicious as soon as I heard the accent.

Dank Online Shop uses this as part of their scam.  The package is held in a problem status as reported by Quick Move Logistics an extension of the Dank scam (they give a phone number answered by Nigerian).  Some nonsense about insurance papers.

The guy who called me from Fedex ground was Ricardo with a mid eastern or columbian accent or it could have even been Israeli.   Fake Fedex wants additional money to deliver the package.  Or, they could be unrelated to Dank and could have bought my information from Dank on a "suckers" list.  Who knows?

The Fed Ex ground keeps you on hold when you call back.  They play a recorded announcement that all agents are busy.  The caller ID says Fed Ex ground.  I knew it was a scam but I have a legit package coming from China and they mentioned I would get a call from the carrier to confirm delivery.   So, the timing could have been right and I didn't want to miss that package if this was real.

I got a message from a guy named Carlos who said he tried delivering me a package and gave me a unique identifier, a 7 digit number. And asked me to call back to resolve the issue. What the issue was, not sure. FedEx never calls, they leave a slip on your door. I didn’t try calling back to see what info they were after...very weird.

I used to work for datamark,
They have a cheap [***] CQA fedex project. It is a call center and employees get to ask recipients for their address. The thing is that the main data capture people are from India 🇮🇳 and they’re are the ones having a FedEx database which contains records from recipients that have received packages from fedex before and they correct the addresses on the F.A.S.T. Records.
Sometimes when customers order something from online they might have misspelled their address wether if it’s the street number or street address we used to call the recipients to ask for their address to have it mended on the package label. Obviously it’s not a fedex direct contract it’s just like a third party contractor from it finding a cheaper way to pay a job that no one would like to do.

Also I forgot to tell that the place is located in Mexico. They used to pay us so bad and management was terrible all they wanted it was to get paid by the contractor and not pay to the employees

I see. So your thought process was "I used to work at a company. I should look up the phone number and tell people about it"? Do you do this with all the companies you've worked for?

Wow, great way to dodge the question (no, not really, but I figured that you are such a loser you needed to know that you have done something really smart in your life even though you never have).  Shows pretty much that you have something to gain by making people believe this call is "legitimate" when it really isn't.
