Got called 2 days in a row about a formal complaint against my ex. Today I called back and asked to me removed from the account. The man who answered was foreign and said he was with CFF Mediation and his name was Mr. Hamilton.

Called about a formal complaint against a Daryl Richards. Have no idea who that is but I won't be calling them back.

Never leaves a message, by the posts above it's a debt collection agency scam.

Just received message that a complaint had been filed against Darryl Richards on my answering machine. No known person, no I did not call back. Sounds like a phishing scam/

Received several calls from this number and they are asking for my former married name that changed in 2010.  I asked what it was concerning and they said an online loan that was never paid back.  I explained to them I am in Bankruptcy right now (filed this last April) and they needed to contact my attorney.  They stated the Bankruptcy would not apply to this debt because it was a payday loan and would not take the attorney's info.  In return I explained to them it would apply to any debt that happened before April of 2017 (which this would fall under since obviously it took place before I changed my name in 2010).  I am not sure of the validity of this debt because it was so long ago and took place at a very dark time in my life.  It could very well be a scam.  FYI - bankruptcy DOES apply to payday loans and any unsecured debt in case they try that with anyone else.  Period.

Same here.  Automated voice from phone number 844-369-0788 attempting to convey authority and serious.  Official sounding like how you would expect a police officer or someone from the FBI calling to sound like.  Automated scammer say a formal complaint has been made against someone and to call back with info.  The automation is low when they say the name and I can't discern the name but they are not saying my name.  The call back number is the same.   Keeps calling about every day now.  I don't understand how we can pay for our cell phones and can't control who gets through or be able to stop these harrassing phone calls.  The do not call list is an absolute joke.  Cash Advance (which I have never used) has been calling me for the last couple of months sometimes twice a day using an automated message with no option available to speak to someone.  They use different numbers from multiple states.  I tried reporting them but they use many, many different numbers so it would take a large portion of my personal time reporting them each day and reporting each different number they call from.  Let's face it, we don't even know if the alleged site to report harrassing phone calls when you are on the do not call list is a scam.  I am also wondering, if it is legit, are  they selling our info we input to scammers.  I wonder this because I haven't received a call from the alleged Cash Advance entity in about a week and this harrassment seems to have replaced the Cash Advance harrassment.  The site to report harrassment states that reporting the harrassment is anonymous and your info will not be revealed. I don't believe it now.  Something needs to be done.  All the harrassing phone calls and scammer phone calls I get are out of control now.  They start at all hours of the day and while you are at work and into the night.

These people keep calling, leaving a message about a formal complaint on people I don't know! The first time I ignored it but they kept calling ! I called them back three times and they kept saying they removed my number! Today I received another call. I called them back and told them not to call again or I would report them. The woman said I had not spoken to "her" and I should stop theating her!  What on earth?

The automated call was looking for my cousin's ex-husband. I've not received three calls and hopefully block them from calling me again.

Never return these kinds of calls.  As I said earlier in this thread, a "complaint" if valid,  is filed with either the court system or the governmental or regulatory body .  Debt collectors do NOT handle complaints.

Caller called me 5 days in a row. I was out of town although I wouldn't have answered a call from such a number anyway.  Left a message saying that a complaint had been filed against someone (name that wasn't me).  During the 5 calls, they used 2 different names, one of which I do know.  Each message contained 1 of 2 numbers, 844-369-0787 or 844-369-0788.

I have been getting these calls about William Dennis from this number for as long as I have had this particular number. Always looking for William. This is the first that says I have a formal complaint lodged against me.. Well not me but William Dennis.
