The IRS don’t  call they know who you work for and they will always mail you a letter they will attach your wages you never give your personal info over the phone to anyone you don’t know and the IRS wouldn’t expect you to do that anyway to many harassment law suits

Second time receiving a call from this number. The thing that was the big red flag to me was when she asked for me to verify the FIRST 5 digits of my SSN. *click*

Same thang happened to me and I did the same

Called my child's phone (she's 11) looking for my child. Said she is a debt collector for the IRS. CLEARLY this is a scam.

IRS will Mail you notices.

The IRS will.  However if you have somehow ignored them and still owe them money they are now allowed to turn you over to an outside agency for collection.  That agency must follow FDCPA collection laws.

They called my business cell - I don't answer # I don't recognize and then they called my personal cell a minute later. Scammers have become very brazen

Got the same message - it gets to be ridiculous there’s so much fraud

Spam risk came up on my caller I'd. Message left about a past debt from IRS. No letter received, blocked number.

did not catch a word she said.  she rambled so fast there is no way to know what she said.

Scam.  Associated with this number 844-853-4875.  Block both,  Message left IDs it as Conserve having to do with an IRS debt.  Uh-huh.

This number has called me for two days. They left a voicemail saying they were debt collectors and I need to call back. Female caller.

More of the same.  Spammer.

Unfortunately for your screen name, the registry does not apply since this is a debt collector and not a sales call.  Of course you knew that already.

Left msg - claimed to be a debt collector, and gave a callback number that was different from the one that was on caller ID. My credit rating is over 800, so I suspect this is a SCAM
