My experience is the same as every one else here.

Got the same call about 7 months ago the first person I spoke to stated that they use a lawyer in california named Bradly Shaw If you aare any kind of lawyer you will show up on google. Noone by that name. I called back and spoke with a rude woman i asked her to tell me all the numbers they have to call to look for me and she said she couldnt give out that information. They have to do with me so why cant she tell me. The last time they stated that chase bank was suing me and I went to my bank and they said there are no cases or litigation regarding me. Hell I have had an account with them for almost 20 years. People like this should be tarred and feathered and hung out for all to see. Don't call my ill mother and harrass her because it will get ugly. I should call them every 30 minutes and see what they do.

A lawyer in California will do them no good unless you live in that state.  I fail to see why everyone goes to all the trouble of checking to see if they owe a debt.

Whenever someone tells you that they are a "lawyer" or that they work for a lawyer or law firm, the first question you should ask is what state(s) they are registered in and their BAR number for that/those state(s).  Then go to that state and check them out, contact them directly using the information in the state registration, as these crooks have been known to research real law firm names and attorney names and impersonate them.

 One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.

They mention that they have received a Fax document or some sort of complaint and that there is a pending legal matter or action about to filed against you to create the sense of urgency.  They tell you that they are a “process server” and cannot give you the particulars of the case since the file is sealed. This is simply ruse to get you to call another number (often with a made-up case number) where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer).  They threaten to serve you at home or at work.  They tell you that if they serve you at work they need a supervisor, security, or HR person there as a witness, hoping that will cause you to panic over the alleged embarrassment of being served at work.  They also tell you that you will need two forms of ID.  None of which is true.  Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them.  Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.  They certainly are not going to pass up a paycheck by telling you that you can avoid being served, they are not going to give you an extra day or even a few hours to get a “stop order”.  Court documents are time sensitive and have to be served within a certain amount of time.  Remember that you can always call the local courthouse to see if there is actually a lawsuit that has been filed against you.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid. 

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I received this call yesterday evening as well as just a few minutes ago. Yesterday I opted to speak to the rep. I asked them to tell me my name and SS#. She replied that she would have to get some information first. I told her that my number had been called with the message claiming to know my name and SS#, so tell me what they are. She ended up getting flustered and putting me on hold. I hung up then. Today I opted to speak to a rep and the ext rang for about 20 seconds. I hung up. I'm sick of this crap. I don't put up with stupidity and if they want to call I'm going to make them miserable. There is no company called ACC.

Please people... Please. This is a recorded call looking for a sucker, period. Do as I did... Laugh and hang up. Enjoy the rest of your day. This is a scam that has repeatedly been on the news. Do not answer the call, its Scam

They say they are Chase but we have never had a Chase credit card, so, obviously a scam.

These people have been harassing me for months now. Stating they sent mail and I have not responded. Not true. They are threatening to go after my bank account and car. And they are extremely rude.  Talking about accounts I have no clue about😖😖😖

Spam!!!!! Do not give any info, unless you want to lose your money

Repeatedly stated on voicemail that this is not to prevent a solicitation call and must contact them ASAP all accounts from being closed along with social security number.  Of, course no name of business, caller nor any other information.

I continue to receive calls from this company!

Same thing as everyone above.  I did notice that they never say who they are, the company they are calling for, nor even mention my name.  It must be an automated message because it repeats two or three times before hanging up.

I have received the same phones call they call non stop leave messages exactly as everyone else have discribe.Just like Someone else said about his brancrupcy and everything been discharge same thing with me and the guy keep on insisting that no that account in particular and that I should find my self a very good lawyer that can represent me in court .It very frustrating I talk to my lawyer and they told to block every number they call me from .

I received the same call as the others mentioned, further research also pulled up this. I figured it was a scam but apparently this number is used for several types of scams. I just got the same. I tried calling back and they say, "Litigation please hold". I hang up. have yet to get a live person
