    ?
I do not have ANY type of Chase account, never have, either.  They just called me, (no message left).  There is NO way it is Chase looking for money from me.  I agree with all those who say it is a scam.

It is a scam - they call my mobile phone and not the home number.  My account is in good standing and I have never given them my mobile number.

Me too! Been calling my home phone and my cell non stop for a few weeks, never a voicemail, starting at 7amish EST and through 10pm. SERIOUSLY? My mom answered the home line on friday and accused the caller of harassment. No change in the frequency of calls however. :(

So either you're part of the scam or just stupid. I've been getting calls every 2 hours for a week and I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. Period. Its a scam. And if you know how a call center works for a CC it is NOT that hard to immitate. I ask, if you didn't have your card, how do you know it was YOUR account? Did they even say anything beyond smoke and mirrors to make you think otherwise?

    Its a scam.

I hope you're enjoying your time repairing your credit score. I know I wouldn't.

its NOT Chase replies to Helgerquest
Its not them. Its a scam artist who got hold of your name, phone. They say they are from Chase because it is a high probability that whoever they reach has a credit line with them. I don't have a card with them, but I did about 4 years ago. They're calling because that info has been leaked.

Enjoy reestablishing your ruined credit. If she never had a card with them WHY DID THEY CALL???

Many Indian voices sound the same if you're not familiar with that kind of lot. Sears may have been legit, but different number was used. Grow a brain or gtfo my internet. You're making it soggy with your drool.

    people are stupid
i dont understand how peole can IGNORE posts stating that they don't have an account with Chase.

    It.

    Is.

    A.

    SCAM.

If you're stupid enough to believe that this is a collectiopn agency, you'll learn the hard way. Its not that difficult to pose as a collection agency and "borrow" a name that l I hope you ooks convincing. Its also not that hard to hack the phone system to override caller id.

My advice? Call the number on your physical statement or on the back of the card. Use your online acess. Find out for sure by calling the source first. I will guarantee that they will send you along to the fraud department.

On a side note, for the failures posing that this is legit... if you think you've outsmarted us by posting "its legit" posts for your scam I hope you get what's coming to you. How's about you give me YOUR info. I got a few charges I could do with...

Got a call from this number a few days ago and now again this morning.  Indian-sounding voice, practically unintelligible leaving the number 888-293-2351 to call back, although the number on my caller ID is 847-488-3003.  I have added this number to my growing list of unwanted calls which I keep open on my desktop in order to tally the number of calls coming in each month.  When I find the right place to file a complaint with the expectation of something being done about it I will do so.

BTW, I have no account with Chase Bank, no credit card with them, nada.

I think you are right. I only get these calls if I am late with chase. Once I pay Chase directly, the calls stop. Never give out your info to someone that calls you or that you call back though. Bad move.

Ha...love these posts!  I HATE Chase. They took over my Providian account...dropped my credit line 12,000 (without notice) and increased my interest rate to 29.99%...when it was 12.99% with Providian.  OH ya and decided to unilaterally add their own 'credit protection plan' to my account & charge me an extra $19.99 (that I was paying interest on too) and then went on to tell me they had a voice recording saying I called and signed up for it! As far as I'm concerned they own me money!

    It's not Kathleen
they left msg for Kathleen something to call back, very very low talker, could not hear last name, phone number they gave, etc...there was more to it, but couldn't hear it.  I'd kinda say the voice was Irish ! (hmmm, Irish accent, looking for Kathleen??).  I do think they said Chase, and did say it was very important.  I had gotten msgs for this Kathleen about 6-7 yrs ago, when we first got this number, but no calls for at least 5 years since I did speak to someone and told them there was no Kathleen here.
Depending on my mood at the time, if they call again, I'll either answer or not.

The same thing happened to my Providian account also. Ticks ya off! Well with the way things are I have always paid on time & sometimes more but--thats banks for ya. I now have several accounts in debt negations & Chase is one of them. They call 3-4 times a day to my cell. I added the number to my list & gave it a "NO Ring" Have not gotten any calls for a few days. Well today they call my cell from a Different number, I didn't answer so they called the house number, still didn't answer. I gave them the lawyers number for the debt negations, like they told me to, but they don't want to talk to them!

Dude there is NO way it is Legit. They called me telling me I was late, which would be fine if I HAD A CARD WITH THEM! It's a total scam. They shouldn't need your card # immediately, or your full social security number. Last 4 of a social and a security question should be more than enough.

I got a call from them today.  I was at work so I didn't answer.  Checked the voicemail later and it was a foreign guy that talked so fast I couldn't understand any of the message.  I don't even have an account with Chase....never have.  Why are they calling????

I got a call from this number, which I didn't pick up.  The voicemail started off by saying "This is very important"... they were from Chase Card Services and wanted me to call back another number.  I have a checking acct. with Chase, but no credit line.  There is no way I could owe them money.  They didn't use my name in the message, so maybe they were trying to reach someone else?

Anyways, its a scam.  I bet they come on here and make fake postings.
