- Nice TryI got a call/message today from 1-837-488-3003 The caller "Christy" identified her company as "Chase Services" and to call back asap at 1-800-217-5964. When I did, some foreign sounding man also identified himself as being with "Chase Services" and wanted my account number which of course I did not give out because I told him I dont have a Chase account. I called Chase Bank and they stated no one from Chase Bank tried to call me regarding my account. This has scam written all over it!!!

- CMLNYC85I get the craziest phone calls from the craziest numbers asking for some crazy named person (which is needless to say NOT me) I guess whoever had my cell phone or cell phone number has a debt with Chase. SERIOUSLY annoying..... I even registered on the Do Not Call List....

- Lizzette De LeonI got a call from this number twice this week, I know it is from Chase but I can not pay until I get paid!. Early this morning I made a payment to my Chase account so it is in good standing yet, at 5:45pm this evening I got another call from the same number, which of course I didn't answer because I had just paid my account. It's bad enough we are doing the impossible to make ends meet to then have someone constantly harassing you into paying, it's totally illogical.

- TomI am less than 10 days late on paying my Chase bill and they have called my house phone 7 times today and my cell phone 4 times. This has been going on for a few days now. This is harrassment. I will be cancelling this card.

- owl jolesonthis makes sense as I've gotten calls from them before over a minorpast due ammount that's been carried over. btw this website is a wonderful service, whoever thought it up and got it going, thanks!
- Boo-HooChase sucks. They took over my WAMU credit card, closed it and increased the interest on it. And since they did that, Citi took upon themselves to lower my maximum amount because I wasn't the one that closed the account. Then, Chase said I recently maxed out my Citi card and raised the rates even higher. Screw them all. I'm done paying them for this crap.
- tkI have been getting calls from this number for the past one month, where I have been ignoring it until i found the source. Today I got my answer and picked up the call as soon as my phone rang. As is mentioned in the previous comments it was answered by Indian assuming some one sitting in a call center in India or elsewhere. Here is how the phone numbers have been retrieved, the caller tracks the ip address and trace the number to find out the name who owns the ip. Then place a call asking for the person. Most of the time it is either owned by you or some one u may know. People will get the familiar names and get confident enough to deliver information they ask for.

- EmoI received a call this morning from this number, stating it was Chase card services. I missed my payment last month (which is true) and they were calling to see if I would like to take care of a payment today to avoid the late fee and keep my promotional interest rate. They asked me to verify my bank account (which not chase) because my account showed I pay online through my bank every month. I said I didn't know my account offhand and gave them the last 2 digits. She read me back my entire account number and I confirmed because it sounded familiar. They DID NOT ask for my SS#. They said they'd put the payment through today. Afterwards, I started freaking out that it was a scam, so I called Chase Card Members Services at 1-800-432-3117 and they verified that they in fact did call and that she showed the payment scheduled for today in the amount I had authorized earlier. She apologized that they asked for my full checking account number, saying they should only ask for the last 4 digits - but she verified that the call was legit. Either way, next time I will tell them I'll call them back at their 800 number. It sounds like they have a very inefficient collections outsource service.

- AudieTo the post of IT'S ME back in August of 2010 and NATE's follow-up to him in October...I have been a Chase customer for over 25 years. They took over my Providian account, raised my rate to 29.99% from 13.24%...then they reduced my credit line from $5000 to slightly more than my balance at the time of roughly $1300. Needless to say I was totally annoyed as 1) The rate was worse than I would get from the guy down the street if I borrowed from him to pay off; 2) Where do they get off borrowing from the US Government (ie taxpayer) at practically '0.00%'; 3) My Providian account was closed prior to Cahse assuming it, so how do they raise the rate on a closed account; 4) By reducing the line of credit on the account it looked I was now using nearly 100% of my new line vs approx 24% of the original which I was paying off.
Chase's reply:
1. We are sorry but this is what our systems are telling (advising) us to do.
2. About lowering your rate, since your account is closed we cannot do that for you. When asked how they could raise the rate on a closed account I couldn't get anything other than blah, blah, blah!
I have since taken my business to another bank which is a little better than Chase.
Which is not saying much since they all are pretty much in the same predicament... - cell callCalled my cell, and asked for my husband, who doesn't even HAVE a chase credit card. Definitely SCAM
