There is no reason for the Chase fraud department to be calling me considering that I don't have any Chase cards or any cards held by them and, I have no other affiliations with them in any way shape or form. I received the bogus email the other day, and I can only assume that it's associated with that.

    It is Chase Fraud
Didn't answer.  Called back on the customer service number I have, and my account had been compromised.

They couldn't tell me what nor how, which is the scarey part.  They can send me a new card, but what else will these people do with my information?

Anyway - legit call from Chase fraud dept.

This wax a call from Chase fraud. I have a Chas credit card. They left a voicemail on my personal phone. I did not pick up so they called my work phone. I picked up the call and they said they were from Chase Fraud department. I could not talk to them so representative told me to call them back by calling the 1-800 number on the back of my card. I called them later and took care of the issue. Totally legit for me.

As others have posted 847-488-6000 appears to be legit Chase # that scammers also hide behind. Received call today with this as caller ID. Caller left barely intelligble voice mail stating call was for someone (not me) regarding something (garbled) and to call back (garbled name) at 877-822-3520. I don't own any Chase cards. Search that number on this site and all reports lead to scam.

It was a call from Chase Fraud Department, but like someone said above, scammers might try to impersonate this number while calling. If it helps, I didn't pick up and Chase left a voicemail for me saying to call them back. Expect Chase to leave a voicemail.

Sounds that some people are calling Fraud just because they don't have a card or something. They can have the wing number on file or have the number spoofed.

REAL Chase calls from this number do not ask you to provide private information aside from "did you spend x amount at this merchant?"

This was a legitimate call from Chase Fraud division. The caller left a number to return the call. I was in contact with the folks and it was obvious that they were really Chase. The wonderful young lady I talked with had information about what recent payments had been made with one of my cards with them. I had reported fraud online and this was the follow-up to that report.

I got a call from this number and "Vicki" gave me the last 4 digits of my Chase CC. She said Experian contacted them and she was following up on the fraud I reported. She said to check with Experian and call her back at a different # (855-682-7046).  After wasting a lot of time I researched both numbers. They are both scam numbers.  Thank God I didn't give out my full CC number. Other than verifying the name and the last 4 digits I didn't give any more info. What worries me is that when I called Chase at the # on the back of the card, I got a weird set of events (like the guy who I spoke with was in on it with "Vicki").  After being on hold a long time for the "fraud" dept, I was suddenly directed to a survey of how the rep handled my call and then disconnected.  I am going to my local branch office to report this.

J.P. Morgan/Chase handles more than just their own cards. They also handle BestBuy, BP, and other cards. You would be surprised. This number is a valid Chase number, and they will not ask you for any info. They will give you all of your info EXCEPT a password, but they will give you a hint (one that you supplied years ago).

I have received a call from this company at least five times a day for over a week now.  The call goes directly into my voicemail, and they never leave a message.

I looked up the "reverse number," and the information said that it COULD be connected with Chase Bank.  I called Chase and was told that this number is NOT connected with them.

The only information that I have on the incoming call is that it is from Elgin, IL.

I will NOT return this call since they never leave a voice mail message!
