- CnoteChase Fraud Dept. Wanted to verify info for a credit card application. They didn't ask for any personal information like social, DOB, or bank account.
- keke| 1 replyThey are just calling to verify info in order to process a credit card app. They just ask you to verify info such as company names that appear on your credit report or previous addresses.
- NikkiChase Bank for Amazon credit card. Calling to verify card info.

- jolly| 1 replyChase Bank. The lady called us and asked about 3 credit card transction. It turned out this was purchased from the internet without our knowledge. She said there was an on going purchase for an electric guitar from the internet and she called if we authorized it.She stopped payment right on the spot when we said NO and told us our account number will be changed, and a new credit card will be issued. She said she'll report the illegal purchase to the creit bureau herself in order not to hurt our credit rating. She also gave her full name and gave us a number to call for more inquiries. We called the number from the credit card statement as soon as she hungs up,(1800-436-7927)and true to her word, our account was disabled. And then we called the number she gave us (1800-955-9060), its also from Chase. The other lady also confirmed that there was indeed an anuthorized/fraudelent use of our credit card. After that we went to check our mail from the mailbox, and in our credit card statement, somebody purchased $3477.59 from our account. In short, this number is legitimate (1847-488-6000 & 1800-955-9060)

- company ownerI received a call from 8474886000. The woman said that she was with Chase Fraud and that a card was used at our location that did not belong to the person that made the reservation. She knew the card number and the amount charged as well as the person's name...without receiving any information from me. I checked out the information and found that everything matched. I called the number and got her voice mail at Chase Fraud Services.

THE NUMBER SHOWS UP CHASE "USA", BUT CHASE BANK IS NOT CHASE "USA"...IT IS RATHER "J.P. MORGAN CHASE". FOR THE WOMAN WHO SAID SOMEONE FRADUALENTLY USED HER CARD, IT WAS MORE THAN LIKELY THEM! DUH!- Caller: CHASE USA

Monica said she was with the Fraud prevention department with TJX. Asked me to call 1-800-223-5986 we are open 24 hours a day. And asked, can you please have your account available when you call.
I called the number on the back of my Chase card and they said that yes it was them calling. I feel MUCH more comfortable calling the number on the back of my Chase card rather than calling a 1-800 number where they ask for all my information.- Caller: Chase

- EdA lady speaking broken English called and said she was from Chase fraud dept and that she was verifying a charge in Florida that looked suspicious. The card in question was a business card so I had her call my partner...he told her to call me back with info and she never did! This sure smells funny...I wouldn't trust calls from this number 847-488-6000.

I didn't have any activity from TJM. Please do not call back either the 847 number or the 800 number they leave on your voice mail. THIS IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!
- Trisha| 1 replyI do believe this is really Chase...I called them to make sure they closed an account they opened to someone else with my SS#...they did nothing to help. 6 months later, this person still has my SS# associated with her Credit Card and I can do nothing. They wont close the account either untill they reach the other party. I was so upset with them I closed my account with them. I will never open another chase account again. I received a call from this number 1 hour after the contact I had with them. They didn't leave a message either...

- Anomie| 1 replyProblem will not go away until law enforcement stops these identity thieves! Report them to the Illinois Attorney General online from their website, as the calls originate from Elgin, Illinois (check reverse phone lookup). Do not give account or social security numbers to these scammers!!

- Maria| 1 replyIt's Chase Fraud. They called to report suspicious activity on a credit card. Pretty normal, but the call raised a red flag when the clerk asked for my mother's maiden name and my DOB at the very -end- of the conversation. Unsure if it was a legit caller or a spoofed caller ID I contacted Chase directly and verified that in fact my card had been used. The clerk at Chase told me that 'yes' someone had contacted me about the transaction. My advice, if you're unsure if a call was legitimate call your bank/credit card/financial institution at the contact numbers listed on their websites or on the back of your card. Tell them about the call and ask them specifically if they where the ones who contacted you previously, verify the card is blocked (if it needs to be) and be nice to the phone monkeys. ;)
This is probably the best due diligence you can do.- Call type: Event reminder
- Maria replies to MariaI should clarify my statement, it's the phone number OF the call center that serves Chase Fraud calls. But really, don't trust your caller ID.
