They are online schools.  They usually get your number from an online form you or someone else filled out.  I had that number and 7 others calling me about online schools.  I was delighted to discover that my cell phone has a reject list feature.  It's an older phone, too, so if your cell phone is suffering 800 number calls, see if you have that wonderful feature you can use.

No. We have been getting them on several of our family's #  We called back. A man answered and said, "Hi, this is Adam". Prior to this, an older man called my phone and said "I can see you, you should really turn your light off". When he called my son's phone, my son screamed at him. I guess when he figured out one number was male, he lost interest.
I plan on blocking the number and reporting if necessary.

received many calls after requesting info for financial aid. i returned their call and asked to be removed from the list. this call lasted less than 1 min. person answering knew my name and asked why did i request the call if i did not wish to speak to them. she was not pleasant but not rude and told me the calls would stop. i will comment again iff this is not true.

This number has called me 4-7 times a day! i too also requested information from a college and since then ive had other numbers call me too but not like this one. I have told them once already to not call me and they continue to do so. If its a college then calling people over and over isnt going to make me want to go there!

i asked for information on a couple colleges & this number along with one other one KEEPS calling me, i've had at least 100 calls from each college (no exaggeration) & have told them both to stop calling me. so i don't know what to do besides file harassment charges. anyone else figure anything out yet?

I am in North Pole, Alaska and got a call this morning and have no idea who or what they are. Who is this?

i received two calls from this number today.  so, i did what someone suggested...i called the number back.  a girl answered, "this is kesha, how may i help you?".  i told her someone had called my number earlier today and i wanted to know who is calling me from this 847 number.  she said they were looking for a ramone burke.  i told her this is not ramone burke, nor do i know ramone burke and to please not call me again.  she apologized and told me this number is a from "AIU" and ramone burke had given them my number as a contact number.  she said she would remove my number from their list.  i took less than a minute to accomplish.  done.  now i shouldn't have to be concerned about receiving anymore calls...at least not from THAT number.  i'm sure i'll receive calls from OTHER wrong numbers!  it's all part of having a phone!   :)   have a great day!

I wished this person would stop calling me.

I was attending my sister's funeral out of state.  Since I am 70-years old, I have a cell phone for emergency use only.  My phone rang and I answered immediately.  The caller told me that his call was in response to my request for information about their school.  I said that I had not called anyone and was then told that I requested info from them via computer.  I told them that I had not contacted anyone and not to call me again.  I repeated "take me off your list".  

These insensitive, disturbed people continue to call me 3-4 times daily via my cell phone.  I am on the national do not call list and do not know how/why these people are calling.  Very harassing and very disturbing to me and my family!!!

These guys call me all hours of the day and night, week and weekend. I don't have any connection to these guys.
