My wife submitted her resume to jobbingtree.com.  They asked if she would ever consider going back to school.  When she replied in the positive, they immediately sold her number to the outbound call center for American Intercontinental University (AIU).  Within 24 hours, she received over 24 calls from them and several more from other so-called universities.  Each time, she asked them to stop calling and each time they ignored her and on the last call, the person (Jaimie, female) made some rude comments.
I called and asked for a manager.  The person on the other end attempted stall tactics but when advised that I knew she had a call-center supervisor on premise and that if I did not speak with them, I would have Federal Agents at their door wtihin 24 hours, she put me on hold.
Then spoke with a gentleman named "Adam Smith" when I advised him of the issue and asked him to take down numbers to enter into the "do not call" list for his company, he was very compliant, apologetic and professional.
Since then, no more calls.  Here are some facts to help you:
    1) Be polite yet firm and ask to speak with the on-duty supervisor.
    3) Tell the supervisor your call is being recorded.
    2) Advise the supervisor that you are aware of your rights and to please have your number(s) removed, including the number you are calling from.  They should immeditately comply.
    4) It was also discovered that the out-bound callers have the ability to mark you as a "do not call" but they are failing to do so. I made them aware of this and was advised he would re-train those who are not.
    5) Reminder, be polite yet firm and the problem will be resolved.

Received a call from this number about one month ago and they called back again today.  Have no idea  who these people are. They will not leave a message.  If they can't leave a message, they shouldn't wast their time calling.  I am not interested in what they have to offer.  Do call my job anymore.

I also got calls from this number and another number 224-653-7000. They call on my cell phone which take up my minutes if I answer, and if I don't answer  they never leave a message. So I called them back and they are calling for colleges. I did go online and tried to find info about grants and such to go to college. They have called me at least 3 times a day since then. They are going to take my number off of there list. You might want to try this.

It is a college. I went online to find out about grants and they called me within 2 minutes of me putting in my info. You have to call them and ask them to take your number off of the list. When they call me and I don't answer, they call back from a different number 224-653-7000. When you call them give them all of the numbers that they call you from. I hope this helps.

This has happened to me before from requesting information online.  After I've looked up the number and know for sure who is calling, I answer the next time and tell them I requested information online for a reason.  I tell them I would like any contact from them to be through email only, not by phone.  Generally they stop calling and start blowing up my inbox, but that's okay because the emails contain an "unsubscribe" feature that can get them off my back for good.  Give it a try!

You can also go on their website, do an online chat and ask them to remove your number. They'll ask for your first and last name and phone number. It worked for me!
