Have been getting calls repeatedly from this number. Same experience as others detailed. We're not in FL area, but in Montana. As a result, I updated our number on the do-not-call list. Hasn't helped with these guys. Have not been answering when I see it's this number. Don't want them to know it's an active number with hopes they'll drop it from their list. Nasty folks.

this number showed up on callier ID.  I did not answer.  What I would like to know is what good is being on a no call list if these scammers keep calling

We also got the Lynn Haven, FL call.  My husband answered the phone and was told that they could lower our Visa and MasterCard interest.  He told them that they'd have to talk to his wife.  When I answered, they'd hung up.  As others reported, I called the number back only to get a recording saying that the number was no longer in service or had been disconnected. Looks like they're trying their scam every where - we're in suburban Chicago.

My elderly mother has been a victim of this number, too and so have I. I am fiercely in search of who they are and reporting them to FCC, too.  This is horrible.    What happened with my mother:  "Heather" calling and also the same problems of not being "allowed" to being removed from calling list.  What happened to me:  I asked to be removed, and first guy said fine.  Then I got a call three days later and the woman I talked with was rude and argued with me and HUNG UP ON ME!  They have a private, unlisted number of mine and I, too, am on every do not call list.  I pushed for their name and they would not release it.  PlanetFeedback.com often has information to help destroy these kind of predators. I'm exploring all options and determined to expose them.

I just went onto this website provided by the person above and filled out my complaint.  I think if everyone does it, it will make a difference.  I also told them to check out this Website to see all the current complaints about them.  Good luck everyone!   :)

Idiot, brazen caller refusing to identify why he was violating the "do not call list". Extremely pushy and RUDE. He got no information, but he tried. He was warned not to call back. If anyone has a physical location on this person, please let me know and I am fairly sure JUSTICE will prevail, or maybe "Just Us". The guy who called is a real "Bozzo" who needs a nice punch in the nose, for starters.  Then it will become time to get very serious.

Same junk everyone else said -- credit card offer.  I've gotten this call many times over the past year.  This time, I pressed "1" and talked to a woman who refused to give me the info of the company.  I said I wanted to report them to donotcall.gov.  She said they represent many companies and refused to give me information, but offered to take down mine.  Then said "well, mam, you had the option to press "2."  Reading this, I'm glad I didn't take it.  I've reported the number to donotcall.gov.

I've been getting these same calls.  In addition to filing a complaint on the federal websites listed, I also sent an email to the Lynn Haven, FL police department: policedept@cityoflynnhaven.com.  Let's keep being pests until these guys get shut down.

From an quick Google search, seems this company uses a lot of numbers, including 904-317-2123 and 208-868-0109.  This has been going on almost a year, so I don't think the FTC or donotcall.gov is going to be much help.  We need to get the company's actual name, then file small claims suites.  This is difficult since they are using bogus numbers, and hang up if questioned.  Please post on this board if anyone gets an actual name.  In the mean time, everyone keep a log of the time and date you get these calls.

Recorded message asked me if I wanted to lower my credit card rate to 6%. Pressing one put me in touch with operator who said that "the government wants to lower APR for some good people" and forces banks to do so. I asked what credit card this was in reference to and she said Visa and Master Card but didn't know what card I had but would need an account number to help me. They said, the company was called Creit Card Services and was also available on-line.

Got a call from these people this morning. thank goodness I wasn't home because now that I've read all these posts I am going to scam these people right back the next time they call.  Bogus name, bogus address,6 bogus credit card numbers.... I wonder how long they will stay on the phone before they realize that Jozefitina Aquanetta Blowhard from Alaska isn't a real person!  HAHAHA

This company identified themselves as "quality assurance corporation."  They advised that it was very important that my insurance is to be renewed or it would be cancelled.  They could not identify the company or what type of insurance I was renewing, but they requested the account informaiton.   I asked for her name, she said joan.  When I mentioned the name quality assurance corporation a little later, she said that was not the name of the company.  It looks like she mentions different company names and she forgot which one she was using at the time.  I asked for her supervisor, she refused.  She stated that she would give me one last chance to renew or I would have to face the consequence.  When I asked to be taken off of the list, she asked for more information.  She advised she needed the address, telephone and account information in order to access the account.  She said I would be added to the DNC list if I give the account information so she can access the record.  This was two pfishing stratgies:   The introduction with the insurance question, then the resolution stating they need the account info to remove one from the list.    

When I dialed *69, I received the following number:  850 271 8240 but the line is disconnected.  When I talked to the FTC, they advised this number is pfishing with several complaints.  If you get it call FTC they will give you a case#.  Call FTC or complain online, set up a case number.

I got that call today.  I don't ever answer the phone if I don't recognize the number and they didn't leave a message.  Just trying to find out who these people are!

They just called and wanted account numbers to lower our interest rates. When i asked who they were and what card they were talking about the just said a visa or mastercard but didn't know which one. They said the business was consumer services  then when i said i wouldn't give out the information and would call my credit card company to check they hung up called back and it said the number was disconnected.

I got the call today at 4:15  PM EST.  I pressed 1 and the man that answered sounded like he was eating and when I asked what credit card this was he said Peanut Butter credit.  I hung up to his laughter.

Caller - 850-271-8240   Answered.  No one there so I immediately hung up.  This is the second call in 2 days.  Next time I am just going to put the phone down until I hear a dial tone.  That should use up their valuable time.

Just reported call from 850-271-8240.  Forgot to say they are now calling Arizona.  They called on Dec. 14 & 15.

We received same call, same recording left on our answering machine.   My former business partner (we have retired) said he is getting these same calls.

Since he is a comedian of sorts he says something like " golly I am glad you called, since my bankruptcy last month I can not seem to get a new credit card.  Nobody will talk to me after they find out about my personal credit history".  By that time they have generally hung up on him.  He is of course very careful not to tell the truth about his personal information.  He delights in playing games with these guys, makes his day. I on the other hand  do not have the patience to listen to the jerks.  Dave has a good time with it, I just get mad.

This # called me about 10 minutes ago, said our car warranty was coming to and end and we should renew.  I pressed 1 and was connected to an operator.  I asked which car they were calling about and she immediately hung up on me.  WHAT IS IT WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!! HOW DO THEY GET UNLISTED # AND WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT???????????
