- Jean E| 1 replyI saw unexpected charges on my bank statement. I called this number, pressed 0 and was able to speak to a live person. She gave me a credit (less a couple of dollars) for each of the magazines. I neglected to get a confirmation #, but was on the phone less than five minutes and assured that the credits were issued and she provided the specific amount. I will update as soon as I confirm the credit is completed.
- MBMy mother is in a nursing home with Alzheimers and has no cards, or anything. I do all banking. She had $33.34 left in her account this month and they charged her $33 ( just enough so she didn't overdraw and bring it to someone's attention). It was charged against the card I HAVE for her account, which is only used for her haircuts, clothing, etc. Luckily I monitor the accounts (mine, hers and a daughter in college) closely, and caught it while it was still pending. But will still take 3-4 weeks for the bank to verify it is fraud and give her the money back, and I had to cancel the card and get a new one. She has a very limited budget. What a terrible crime to inflict on elderly person, especially someone in as deteriorated mental state as she is.

- SW Missouri replies to DrewI had 8 subscriptions apparently, they had doubled up on one of the. I talked to the machine for 20 minutes and finally was able to get "0" to work, it wouldnt work until the timer was up or something. They said they will refund me $232 for my subscriptions, and confirmed that there was no future renewals or charges several times with her.
- Rachel Gibson| 1 reply$121 was charged to my debit card on 11/30 - it is only 11/29. Could not talk to a live person.

- Joe-FPhone number for magazine subscription based out of NY. I had a subscription that I signed up for since I had to use frequent flier miles before they expired. The subscription automatically renewed without me knowing about it...must have been in the "fine print" when I initially signed up. Anyways, I called this number and it takes you to a automated system where you can cancel subscriptions or check on charges. It initially asked me for my credit card info to look up my account, which I did not provide. Instead, you can input your mailing zip code, followed by your last name to access your account. Don't ever give credit card info over the phone. After going through the menu, I wanted to speak to a customer service representative. I had to repeat "operator" and/or "representative" several times before it actually connected me to a real person. Once connected, the gentleman was very nice and got my account straight. I will be sure to check the fine print closer next time
- LaurieI didn't even get a phone call, they just charged my account and this is the phone number that shows on the bank transaction. I never give out my checking account, and when I subscribed for the magazine last year, my debit card number was different. How did they access my account?
- scott fMagazine subscription service. Avoid at all costs. They will automatically renew a subscription even if you don't agree to it and charge your credit card. I took a magazine for a year through them and decided I didn't want to renew, they charged my credit card anyway and now I am having to file an unauthorized transaction to get the money back.

- Michelle replies to RMJI called this number, thank you for the info. I simply answered NO to all questions the voiceprompt was asking and now I am expecting a 37usd refund in 1-2 days.
- Chicago VictimGet this-- they bill your credit card even though you've never given them the information! They send magazines and then bill your credit card, even though you've never given it to them! How in the world does this company get the credit card information for billing fraudulent items? All I know is that these people are going to jail.

- Les| 1 replyWas just charged by these scammers. Synapse. Same BS telephone number 855 226 0429. I will file a claim with credit card company when the charge leaves pending and has actually charged. It appears that the only way to stop the on going charges that are "subscription types" is to cancel the credit card.

- MBK replies to DrewYou can also directly call a different 800 number to get a refund because the number listed on my credit card bill was automated only, not a real person. I had success calling 1-877-815-8309.

http://usacomplaints.com/shops-trade/652397-s ... ts-reviews.html - Cindy M| 3 repliesI got a charge on my bank account that I didn't recognize. I called the phone number associated with the charge, 855-226-0429. I kept pressing "0", until the automated attendant put me through to a person. I spoke with a very nice young man named Ryan. It turns out that about a year ago, I accepted an offer for 4 free magazines. All I had to pay at that time was $2 s/h per magazine. I completely forgot about it, since I have since moved and I had these magazines coming to an office I used to work for. Apparently, they automatically renew. He has assured me that I will be refunded the full charge, and he cancelled the other 3 renewals for me. I should see the refund within 72 hours.

- WolfmanJack replies to Cindy M| 2 repliesAmazing how all of sudden all these people come out of the woodwork to say how wonderful this company is. Might I point out that promises mean nothing, and that you haven't received the "refund" yet?
Sorry but everything about this company screams scam. - curt indy| 2 repliesFunny how all the positive post read very much the same as if one person is writing them. Consistently the word "nice" customer service rep (usually named) is in many posts. Food for thought.
- Cindy M. replies to WolfmanJack| 1 replyWe received the full refund this morning. Less than 24 hours after I called the company. This charge was initiated by me, a year ago when I accepted the free offer. I'm sure somewhere in fine print, it said there would be an automatic renewal if the free subscription wasn't cancelled before the year was up. I let it fall through the cracks because I have moved, and didn't get the mail for the renewal. The company is real, this is not a scam.
