- Cindy M. replies to curt indy| 1 replyThe customer service rep I talked to was nice. He cancelled all 4 of my subscriptions for me, so there will be no more charges on my bank account, and he got my refund back to me less than 24 hours after I called to see what the charge was for.
- Cindy M replies to LesCall the (855) 226-0429 number. Hit "0" until it transfers you to a live person. If you accepted an offer for 'free' magazines a year or so ago, and paid $2 each for s/h, that is what this is from. They automatically renew the subscription unless you cancel it. I talked to them yesterday evening and had my refund in full this morning. No need to cancel credit cards.
- Cindy M replies to michelle CostelloThey are a magazine subscription group. I had this same thing happen, but I had accepted an offer for 4 'free' magazines a year ago. I paid $2 each for s/h. I have since moved and have not received any renewal notices because I'm no longer there. This was an automatic renewal, because I had not cancelled them. Just call the number and hit "0" until the automated attendant transfers you to a real person. I received my refund this morning, less than 24 hours after I called them to challenge the charge. They didn't ask for any information on my credit card because they are not scammers, they had it on file, because I gave it to them a year ago. I had just forgotten about it.
- Cindy M replies to Jean EDid you receive your credit? I got mine in less than 24 hours.
- WolfmanJack replies to Cindy M.No this company is a scam. They have a know habit of not being clear in their advertising. Sorry but your shilling for these crooks (your bosses) has failed once again.

- Pam replies to Phyllis| 4 repliesI called the number and rather than give the automated attendant any information, I pressed "0" repeatedly and was connected with a representative. He was very polite and processed my request to cancel the magazine which had been billed on my CC.
- Sherryl BeamonI did not authorize continuing payments
- DoNotWant MagazineI signed up for a free magazine in 2013 on a promotion, should of known. It turns out its harder to cancel the magazine than the few clicks to get it. I called the number, 855-226-0429, did not go through the automated system and just entered 0000 zeros to get to an operator who spoke in a computer voice (weird). I let them know I wanted to cancel. The operator then tried to sell me more magazines and extend the service. I finally had to sternly tell them to cancel today. That worked on I got back most but not all of my money.

- Ana replies to PhyllisI called them and they cancel the order and refunded me the money
- Mike replies to PamPressing "0" repeatedly worked for me also!
- VTex replies to Cuzzin NeufyThank you for posting this information. I went to the website and did all the process to cancel the subscriptions I was getting charged for after accepting a "thank you deal" from my credit card. The process allowed me to cancel at the end of this term, which is just about up. Hopefully this will work.
- IvaI, too, ran into this issue and pitched a fit to Good Housekeeping. They gave me the number to call Synapse 877-789-1194 and they said after you answer a couple of the questions, press 0 until you get a person on the phone. They took care of it right away. I'll be watching my bank account to be sure!!!

- Julie replies to PamWow -- just got a $41 charge from these people for a $12 renewal to Smithsonian. Thanks to the people who offered advice about clicking "0", it saved a bunch of trouble. The guy on the phone really didn't want to give a full refund. But after a very circular conversation, said we could get a full refund if we called back before May 2016 (!?). Had my husband call him, who got a similar runaround, and said he was writing to the attorney general (which he will do). Eventually the guy said he would contact our credit card company and have them deduct the charge. I'm following up with the cc company, though, because based on all of the discussion I read here, this company is not to be trusted. Again, thank you. We're not going to order any more magazines online using a credit card!
- Amy replies to Pam| 1 replyI just called today and did finally get through by pressing 0. I cancelled all magazines and they are going to refund all money taken out of the account the past 3 days. $171.00

- Travel800This number belongs to Magazine Customer Service company. I was charged by them and found their number on my bank statement. It took me 1 hour to find out how to obtain the refund of the 2 charges.
They don't make it really easy because they are a marketing company. But to be fair, everybody should know (including myself) that when one's subscribes to a magazine for USD 2.00 a year...well better to review carefully his bank statement 12 months later...
A- 1st magazine, I tried to cancel and accepted by mistake the delivery of the remaining issues. When I tried to correct, it was impossible besides many attempts (my foreign accent made it worse).
B- I tried via the automated system to correctly cancel the second magazine, which I accepted.
In both cases, I was provided with a reference number.
C- Then, I found the option "0", which everybody should always try in this case. After 2 minutes waiting (a Sunday at midnight), a "real" Customer's Representative helped me to cancel the 1st magazine I had accepted to continue receiving at my first attempt. He, like the voicemail, promised a full refund after a 2 to 3 day processing time which is reasonable and hopefully true.
To make a long story short, it's getting harder in an automated world to find companies investing in costly human Customers' Representatives. Some of them are still available but they are hidden (Option "0" not proposed in the menu...).
Another alternative is their website which they finally mention. I think they should do so in the main menu as it is also an automation...https://www.magcustomerservice.com/wss/CommunitiesLogin?cid=wss
Conclusion, I think this is a serious company (subject to reception of my 2 credits).- Caller: Magazine Customer Service

- lgshart| 1 replyThey took 19.00 out of my account. On SS and 20 miles from my bank. And of course now it's after 11pm. I certainly don't recall authorizing this payment. I got the number from the pending payment info on my account. It is this magazine place but of course unable to talk to anybody this late.
- BigA replies to lgshartImmediately file a fraud dispute on that charge with the bank. This is obviously a company that obtains money in any way that it can.
