I just got the same call from Lucas Vanderbilt of Crosby Cain and Assoc. Same threat and wants a statement on my side of the story of a past due bill that he wouldnt disclose any information about. Believe it's a scam.

Call their bluff. Go to a public phone booth (do not use your own phone or work phone). Call  855 420 8338. Do not reveal any personal information. Cheerfully tell the person who answers, "Come on over! Serve me with whatever summons you want. I'll be waiting." Hopefully, lots of us will make these calls. They're perfectly legal.

I keep getting a call for random numbers all asking for some lady i have no idea who she is and everytime i ask to be taken off there calling list and state that i am not a contact for this person. This number however was rude and threatening even after i said that i would press chargers against them. I have no idea why these ppl keep calling and they will not tell me what company they are with.

I got the rude voice mail from Sharron Parsons which said she has tried to serve me to make myself available and left the 855 #.  I called and was told of a old B of A debt and then used phrases like maliciousstatementintent, fraud, and a couple of other things. I said im neither of those there must be a mistake, my past debts have been paid. He had me talk to a paralegal who had the last 4 digits of my SS#. He stated that B of A has turned my acct. Over to them to collect.
           The only B of A credit card I had was stopped being used in 2000. They tried to collect for awhile. then it went to collection agency and finally in 2004 I settled with them. I explained this to mr. Parralegal. He said records don't show bla bla bla. I asked, him to send me something in writing and he did e-mail a letter indicating BOf A has hereby assigned, transferred and set over unto Crosby, Kane and Asst. With the full power and authority to do and perform all acts necessary for the collection, settlement, adjustment and compromise or satisfaction of said claim.

   Two days latter I get phone message from Charels Horton wanting to take statement. I called Mr. Horton and explained that there must be a mistake because all my debts were paid off in 2004. He asked if I have any proof and I said yes. He asked me to fax to him for his review.
 So now here I am, my son googled this for me told me it was a scam, it happened to him.  Now do I just ignore C & K or do I keep giveing these people bits of info to prove my " innocents ".

I got a call from them and asked for a VOD they had no problem sending it to me. so i dont understand why most of you that posted are all negative. These people helped me settle out my $10k for $1k or so the way i look at it who cares how they got me on the phone. I was stressing over the large debt load i had and they helped me. TY CC

i just received a phonecall stating that theres a civil lawsuit against me and she read the last four numbers of my ss. It sounded like she was reading from a script.She also aid her name was Elizabeth Wilson from Wilson and associates.

My 84 year old mother has received threatening phone calls from this number.   She is getting ready for surgery on Thursday.  She was told that they were serving her with a summon and needed two forms of ID.   It so upset her I had to change her phone number.  When I called them myself  they were extremely rude and no sympathy for what they did to my mother at all

Thanks so much everyone for the info here.....I was about to call these scammers back, and am so glad I did not....going to do the complaint process listed by MORE INFO  above.....the call scared me, which I'm sure is exactly what they wanted to happen.

Lady was real rude! I called her a fat Lesbo and she got real defensive. What is the world coming too!

I would to meet some these scammers. We would go in a dark alley and she who walked away, I can tell you that it definitely would be me!

Just got a call from this number.  I worked for the City Attorney and now work for the PD.  Scam, scam, scam

There is no  records anywhere of these people. If anyone finds an address, post it, I need it for a formal complaint which has been started.

Report these people to every possible agency in your state & the FTC for illegal activities!

I got a call form Amber Ferguson, stating I owe a credit card debt from 1998 wanting me to pay if I don't I'm going to be served from the district attorney's office. They had all my information. This is a scam

i to got a call from C&K i did have a old debt that they helped me fix i reviewed my credit report as well as called B of A who told me my debt has been taken care of so i will have to say C&K are a legit firm willing to help anyone that wants to help themselves!!!!
