- SchemerI received call from 000-000-0000 stating I have a civil lawsuit out on me and they have tried several times to serve me. I physically answered the call and it was a recording not a live person. She said I need to call the filing party at 855-420-8338. I called the number and they identified them selves as Crosby Cane & Associates. The lady said that I have an outstanding debt and the company is taking me to court for outstanding debt. She said they have sent me a letter to handle this issue and settle out of court (witch I never received). I told her you don't just call or mail someone a letter if they have a law suite out on them they have to be served papers and sign for them. She said that I had the opportunity to handle out of court. I told her I will wait for the papers to be served to me. The debt she was trying to collect for I have never had an account with. The scary part is she had the last 4 digits of my ss#!
They are a fraud and I have filed a complaint with the FFA.- Caller: Crosby Crane & Associates

- Schemer replies to cj| 1 replyI received the same call. I called the number the company name is Crosby Crane & Associates. They are a fraud and try scaring people out of money to pay for outstanding debt. Just egnore them and report them.
- Schemer replies to RockyDo not give these guys anything. They are a huge scam. They said I also have a Bank of America account outstanding debt. I have never had a B of A account. They just try to scare you to pay them some money. You will never call, e-mail or even a letter in the mail for a summons. You would get physically served by a person and you will have to sign for it.
- Anonym replies to Marty McFlyOh man you got suckered.
- not monica porterI keep getting calls for a woman named Monica Porter, from two different people. One of them was 855 420 8338. I'm sick of it I am not monica porter
- R.C.I got the same message today 12/18/13. From a Debra Reed about a summons and and have 2 pieces of ID and a witness to sign. I'm clean so I knew this must be a scam. I came on line to check out the phone number and look what is listed here.
- DavidLovesJesusJust before Christmas, and now I got a call from them. The voicemail, and voice recognition transcript of the voicemail didn't make any sense. If you know for a fact that you're current on your bills, and no one has a reason to sue, then don't let these calls intimidate you.. Caller ID says UNKNOWN 000-00-0000.
Thanks! - Silas Gatewood replies to cjI got the same message
saying they were coming to serve summons with in 48 hours
have I D ready - PyrrhoLike so many others, I received the now infamous "summons" phone message. Sharon must have retired, because my message was from Beverly. The call did not address me by name, did not state the purpose of the call. What the caller did do was leave a message on an answering machine w/o clear knowledge of the owner of the recording device, nor with any knowledge of who might have access to the device. There is a professional deadbeat using my last name and apparently my home address. I have received inquiries from debt collection agencies re: her delinquencies; however, these were very professional, quickly identified themselves and their reason for calling, and quickly corected their records after a short conversation. "Beverly" should seek some training from these people. I suspect they are using this tactic to extort the poorly educated and the elderly. Don't fall for it - report this activity if possible. Unfortunately, the FTC form for telemarketer abuse ioffers no specific categorization for this type of call. If someone has such information, please share it with the rest of those of use close to "Sharon" and "Beverly."
- Call type: Debt collector
- newport news..first clue...'licensed service locator' (looked it up) is not a valid term...sadly, I'm sure many elderly on my street would take this seriously.

- B678 replies to SchemerI received a phone call from this company stating they were going to serve a summons within 24 to 48 hours. This woman tried to get me to pay $1,461 to "clear the matter up". Everytime I asked a question she had to put me on hold to "go ask the attorney". I have never received any type of correspondence about any money that I owe anyone. I also pulled my credit report and there is absolutely no record of this so called debt these people are trying to collect on. It's a total scam. I'm reporting them to the New York State attorney general.

They wanted to settle right over the phone. Don't fall for these scammers crap. They also tell you it wont show up on a credit report...hmmm....Something fishy..well any way, nice try!
- JSRI received this voicemail today. The caller ID registered the number as 1000000000. She left a voicemail saying this, exactly:
"This is Debra Reed. I am a licensed service locator attempting to serve you with a summons at either your residence or place of employment within the next twenty four to forty eight hours. Please make yourself available with two forms of identification at work a supervisor or head of security will need to sign up and bare witness. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the filing party at 18554208338."
Never said who the summons was for or what it was about.- Caller: 18554208338
- VeraAdd Thomas Cooper to the list if scumbags who call in threats to people's parents over non-existent debts. Said, using my name, that I was the primary respondent In a law suit and that I had 48 hrs to respond before further processes proceeded including calling my employer "if you are employed" (shows how little info they have). Didn't mentionable any details at all in the message about what or how much it was all about and there's nothing on my credit report. Low life criminal thugs. Don't tell them anything.

- Mary LouI just got a message saying to call the same phone # (855-420-8338) but it was from Deborah Reed ... the message was the same: serving a summons and but making the final attempt to contact me. I am not calling her back.
- Jason replies to lucyDeborah Reed from the same number called me. I returned the call and was called a degenerate and lots more from the guy on the phone. I called back several times after being told I would be put on hold all night. Once I got through, a female said she would remove me from the list and hung up. No info shared at all aside from mine. Total scam!
- Who do you call| 1 replyI want to sue... Has anyone found an attorney to sue these people... Look out Isabella Wilson.... I'm coming for you.... Oh and Debra Reed you too... LOL

- BHad this call months ago. Got the same call today. Figured it was a scam and ignored it both times. Today the call was from Deborah Reed. Sounds like they've been reported to the AG based on earlier posts, but they are still at it. If anyone from NY or NJ can go into the Attorney General's office and make a stink about it, maybe they'll listen. I just reported it on whitepages.com You can do a reverse phone look up. The company name doesn't come up, but I "reported the number" and posted it as a scam.

- Anonymous| 1 replyI reported Thomas Cooper of Crosby Kane & Associates the local Sheriff's Department yesterday after he almost swindled me out of $1000. The Sheriff called him at this number; he was placed on hold and "Thomas Cooper" never came back to the phone, nor did he call me again.. Sounds fraudulent to me!!
