This scam artist called me and told me a lawsuit was against me.  She even have my address and ssn.  Who gave her my personal information?   Anyways.....she gets NOTHING!!!!!!  BEWARE CONSUMERS OF THIS SCAM ARTIST.  PEACE.

I also received a message that I would be getting a summons within 24 to 48 hours and have 2 forms of identification. I have never heard someone having to sign a piece of paper with 2 forms of identification and a witness - as the lady on the phone said. That is not how legal messages are served - at least in WA State. It's got to be a scam.

The number to call back is 855-420-8338 and no company name was given. However she gave a name as Sharon Parsons.

I just got the call from Sharon Parsons too. Called the 855 number and talked to a very rude man. He had my name, and address. Would give me no info on nature of the so called summons or where his office was. I hung up.

They're scammers.  Real process servers do not call you ahead of time to make sure you're home or available.  Also, the burden of proof is on the caller to prove you actually do owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt, so you don't have to fax or send them anything.

NEVER pay anyone who says you owe them money unless they MAIL - not email or fax - proof that you do owe a debt, and that they have the legal right to collect said debt.  If a caller refuses to mail you proof, they are owed nothing, per the FDCPA.  Report the callers to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.

I filed with the AG & FTC as well.  Both AG & FTC only takes a few minutes.

Same call as described above, call came up as Unknown, I answered and it was obiviously a recorded message stating the same "Sharon Parson" and had a summons etc for me & if I failed to make myself available I would be held liable.  Stated to call the number 855-420-8338 to call the filing party.........I am not calling back after I have read all this.  I work for a bank and see & here of scammers all the time, they can't scare me into giving them any info.    Thanks for the heads up !

I got a call from Crosby and Cain saying I had a Montgomery Wards card and they were going to sue me and take me to court in my county. I have never had a card with Wards.  So I called Wards and they looked up the info I gave them and they confirmed what I thought.  They said it is a scam.  So I am waiting for court papers that I doubt will ever come.  They would not even tell me what county I was supposed to have a court date in. I supposedly opened the account in TX in 2001.

SCAM SCAM SCAM.  They told me it was Wards and then that is was GE Capital.  SO I asked which one it was and they were all confused so I told them to take me to court. Ia m supposed to owe them over $4000.00 but they are willing to settle for 300.00.  Yep not happening.

You can file a report with the FBI dang it. Ia m going to do that. Any idea anyone on how to get that started?

Got threatening calls from 855-420-8338 saying they were suing me for a Montgomery Wards account I opened in 2001 in TX. I never opened an account there.  They said they were mediation between the collection agency and me.  I supposedly owe them $4000.00 but they will settle for $300.00.  I called Ward and they confirmed they have never had an open account in my name with my social. SCAM.

My attorney told me to tell them to do to hell and if they keep calling tell them serve me, I want my day in court. DON'T give them any personal info.  If they were really a collection agency they would have the info about you already.

Well here's hoping you didn't get suckered out of your money. I would be calling the actual companies that were supposed to get paid off with your money.  Hopefully you don't find out you were scammed. But I am sure you will.
