I use telus myself but do use TD bank. Hmmmm? perhaps the bank is trying to make a bit of money and selling our info to marketers. I suggest reporting the # and the asking of personal info to consumer corporate affairs. After all.. lets get these guys doing something to earn their big paychecks...

I too just got one of these calls to my cell phone from 855-496-4285. I never answer calls from numbers I dont recognize just because i dont want to waste my minutes on nonsense, but I am also sick of the BS, all the scams that are out there are feeding those who actually will give vital information and enough of it that they can been ripped off blind!

You know its bad when you go to the www.whitepages.com and do a reverse look up to see if you may know the person or company calling and the response from the WPs is, "no such number, really there is no listing found."

At 5.50p.m. got the same thing. I did not answer and they left no message. I use TD bank and Sprint.

Hello everyone that got a call from core essentials... this seems like a serious scam. Many different banks and cell companies are involved. I suggest we all start flooding Consumer Corperate Affairs with complaint calls about this company so they get shut down, and C.C.A can earn their big paychecks!! They work for us, and another suggestion. Never give any personal info out on the net.

I live in central US & I received a call from this # this evening.  I have no clue who or what TD bank is.  Never heard of them & I do not have Verizon telephone service, so I think they are getting our No.s from somewhere else. I do not have a bank debit card.   Thanks

I got called by this number Three times within the span of 2-3 hours

The first two times I didn't answer. The third time I answered, but didn't say anything to see if there was anyone on the other end. There was no answer, but I could hear someone else talking in the background.

I just got a call from this number.  I haven't been giving out my cell number to anyone other than immediate family and friends.  I've even got my number on the Canadian National Do Not Call list.  If I don't know the number I don't answer it.  Thankful I don't answer them since this one would charge me for the call.

TD Customer - happened to be in the bank yesterday, received the call today.  Wind Mobile customer for cell.  It appears that many of us (not all) are TD customers which makes me wonder if there has been a breach in their security.

I know for a fact that TD Bank does call a sample of their customers that recently had an over-the-counter transaction at one of their branches.  It is not a scam.  They just want to know how they're doing......i.e. a legitimate customer service follow-up survey.

If you recently were in one of their branches, and your phone number is on file (yes, when you opened your account, in the fine print, you gave them permission to do this)......that's probably what the call is.

Lady called earlier at 9:40 am asking for Owner of company who is not in and i stated that then goes on to talk about speaking with a controller in regards to their banking research. then She decides to call back at 1:40 which I stated to her that she called earlier at 9:40 am n said that it probably was someone else. Which is funny because it was her same annoying voice and way she pronounced his last name etc. So I hung up.

I didn't answer the call, and they didn't leave a message, but the same number called me 3 times within 15 minutes.

Please stop these folks.  I didn't answer it but did look up number and saw hundred of others who have received calls from these.... "folks".

I received 5 calls from this number yesterday. I am going to report them to the CRTC no calls. I never answer to 800 numbers but they are pesty.

Repeated phone calls from this unknown number.  Blocked it if you can!!

Also a TD Customer. Get these calls the day after I'm in the bank EVERY time. Not always the same # but certainly originates from the bank's information. Time to start thinking about another banking option!

I just got a call from this number today at 7:02pm...I own a business and they asked me is this "such and such business" and i said yes then the girl told me that she had the wrong number...wtf?? i quickly canceled my debit business card...

They called my home phone number.  Asked for my husband.  They claimed they were doing a customer satisfaction survey for TD Bank, but they weren't interested in my opinion, only my husband's. So I called TD Bank Customer Service (1-888-751-9000) and I told them that my account was a joint account and if they weren't interested in my opinion I was going to give it to them before I closed my bank account, bla, bla, bla... They passed me with a supervisor that assured to me that this number has no relation with TD Bank and that they are professionals trying to get info from us.  It is a scam!!!
