Received call-left no message

I NEVER answer a call for which I don't recognize the name or the number calling, or for which the caller name and number are blocked.  If no message is left I NEVER call back.  It saves a lot of hassle.  However, I can do that because, being retired, I don't have to be alert for business calls coming in.

I have received several calls from this number within the past 2 weeks. I have not answered and no vm is left. I am also a TD bank customer. Going to call bank tomorrow and complain.

calls from this number doesn't anyone have to abide by the do not call list.  What a waste that was.

It IS TD Bank, and it's just a customer service survey without asking personal information. It's a marketing company called Core Essentials, and they are just rating customer satisfaction. Never asked for personal info, no cell number, nothing.

When they just called me (two minutes ago), they asked if I had made a visit to a branch in the last day or two, and that this call would be in relation to that visit. It asks if the tellers were friendly, if I had to wait long, if they answered all questions, explained things clearly, etc.

This was a call from Doane Ag Market Research.  They have been showing up on my caller ID for the last week.

Called me a number of times but no voicemail. If i answer there is no one on the other end.

Thanks for that link, Doug. It's a little misleading, though.  The party who owns the 855 number, or any other toll free number, is the only one charged, regardless of whether the call is incoming or outgoing.  So in one sense, yes, the called party (the one who has bought an 855 number and is having people call him) is charged for the call.

You as an unsuspecting recipient will never be charged anything for the call, however.  Charges are made on on the account that owns the phone number.

I hope this helps clear this up for people.  It's probably some telemarketing scam artist who's bought a toll free number and is using it to call everyone under the sun, hoping to get that 1% who fall for the ploy.

I also rec'd a call from this number and again they did not leave a voice mail.  I did call back and it is a research company looking for you to do a survey.

This number belongs to a research company who is looking for people to take part in their surveys.

you got no worries unless you gave them info! I live in Canada and they have been calling me. It's a scam and a phishing ploy.

no you can not get charged for answering a 855 number. If it is on your cell the normal airtime rate applies just like a local call.

I was called today in Vancouver.I have never been a TD customer.

I received about 9 calls in a span of 2-3 days.  Never leave any messages.  I am guessing it is a telemarketing call.

They just called me from this number. No answer. No message.

I got a call from this number 855-496-4285 at 8:15pm ET. I didn't answer and no message. I'll be calling my bank in the morning, because only family and close friends have my number. My old bank NewAllaince merged. I texted all the family to let know not to answer.
