Received a phone call from this number 855.496.4285 at 18h56 EST. I didn't manage to answer it and no voicemail left but I called back and got a recording for Core Essentials survey. Can't seem to speak with anyone by pressing 0.

I keep receiving calls from this number daily at work...sometimes twice per day.  I never answer and they never leave a message which lets me know it's not important.  It's just annoying!!!

well, choosing the most likely bank because of the area code is not likely. I just got the call... I use td bank, live in boston, but my area code is from WA because I used to live there. They have another way to get this info.

I was called four times with only 30-40mins apart. I was lucky and at the movies so my phone was off and I forgot to turn it back on. Later I got curious and looked it up. I'm also with TD bank. Either our info was hacked/stolen or they sold our info. Neither would surprise me. The same is likely for those who use other banks. Although our banks are our common connection.

They called repeatedly till I answered. They said they were doing a survey on behalf of TD Bank. I called them back later and got a recorded message that said they were Core Essentials. An opinion research firm. Although I cannot find a website for Core Essentials and they don't appear to be on any of the lists of public opinion research firms in Canada or the U.S. I called my bank but they were uncertain what number their survey teams use to contact their customers. I found that part odd. That's all I could find out so far but I will post any further findings.

Some of these telemarketers and scammers are able to program any phone number into their calling equipment. Some use a real number i.e. for a bank if they are doing a bank scam or an out of country number to avoid Do Not Call Issues.
Though I have my own house number, I have started giving all the companies that I do business with, a different apartment number. Then, when I get mail or someone  checks my address with me, I know which business supplied them with my information. I never give out any information over the phone.

I got two calls from this number today (5:13 pm EDT and 5:58 pm EDT), didn't answer either of them since I didn't recognize it and they didn't leave a vm which told me I probably wasn't interested in the call anyway.  Did a Google search and came up with this thread.  I, too, opened a TD Bank acct late last week, thanks for the heads up all, now I definitely won't answer it when they call again (as it appears likely).

Just received a call here at work from this number... didn't answer, no message.
Ps... no one here deals with TD Bank....

here is all you have to do. If you get the call, answer your phone by saying FBI officer Reynolds, how may I assist you, they will never call again!

It must be something for TDBank, I just got an account there a couple of days ago

So I guess I'm another victim....I just opened a TD Bank account yesterday & I received 3 calls from this number within the past few hours. I didn't answer & they didn't leave a message.  I called the number back & it was a recording saying they were from Core Essential Surveys. I googled the company name & there is no listing.  I don't trust it & won't answer.  If they continue calling me I will contact TD Bank & notify them, but not really sure what else I should do. It seems very shady....

Yes, I did receive two calls from 855-496-4285 today.  I immediately register my home number with the Federal Do Not Call registry at the link below.

I hate telemarketers.  And, they usually call at dinner time.  The last call came in at 8:23pm

Just rec'd a call from this # - didn't pick up - no msg. Curious abt where they got my # & why the comments here are so contradictory & uninformative.

Just get someone call me from it number,but she only say Hello , Hello..........than cut off, try to cal back ,it was busy single all the time , I feel it was scam , thanks every one to post it here,I will block it number now !

Received called, knew my name and verified that it was me several times.  They then ask if I was happy with our bank and try to confirm your name again.  Then the idiot hung up on me!

They call after everyone has gone to bed.  Don't they respect time zones?  They never leave a message.
If this is a survey, they wouldn't like my answers.

Just had a call from this number (855) 496-4285 - telemarketing pushy woman. She got hung up on. She won't be getting to anyone in this company.
