    I received a phone message saying I needed to upgrade my modem and to call 855-707-7328
    Being the suspicious type, I called the actual Spectrum tech support number at 1-800-892-4357
    The rep confirmed that Spectrum did call me and left the message, and to exchange my modem.

    So you ran right over here to tell everyone how "legitimate" this number is?  Why?  You had no reason to look it up after you knew it was "legitimate".  How many people here have Spectrum?  How do you know that number was not spoofed in calls to other people?  If calls are spoofed your post would be very misleading to someone who comes here and they would then think that the call was "legitimate".  Was that your purpose?  You want people to answer?  Are you part of this scam?

    Automated call from "Spectrum" with an appointment reminder. It said my appointment was today from 8 PM-8 PM. Here's the issue. I do NOT have an appointment! Just because they say that they're from Spectrum,  not always true!

    Second call I have received from Spectrum stating they want to confirm the changes to my account. The problem is I haven't had Spectrum in years. I suspect this is just a scam  to obtain personal information.

    Number called and left a message on my voicemail.  It was an automated call that said they had detected changes to my Spectrum account and  to call them at the number left if it was not from me.  I do not care, so did not return the call. I do have their internet service.

    Got call at 10:27 am. Spoofed Spectrum call. Checked with Spectrum just to make sure as their system generates internal notes with Support on calls and emails sent to customers. NADA. Call was a fraud.

    Said they were changed my service and I can get a $250.00 refund. To claim it call 855-707-7328 I did not call because I knew it was spoof. I reported this to Spectrum .. 9-3-2019

    I got a couple of calls from the same phone number. Today they left a message stating call that I had installation scheduled for tomorrow and it was a reminder of my appointment. I do not have an appointment with them to have anything connected. They also didn’t identify themselves as Time Warner or anyone else which I found kind of ironic.  If a legitimate business is calling to remind you of an appointment, wouldn’t they Identify who they are?

    Called today @ 6:41.  Caller I.D. said "Rachel and Frank"  I don't know anybody by those names so I didn't answer.  They left a voicemail stating it was Spectrum calling to confirming a service call tomorrow morning.  That was correct as I have a problem that I was unable to solve.  I can't understand why the caller I.D. didn't say Spectrum.  I don't answer any calls from numbers or persons I don't know.

    BigA, Thank you.  I agree with what you've stated. I think that 'SpinKix' is somehow involved in the scam.

    Received the same type of voice message from this number as others here have. I then called the actual Spectrum Customer Service who indicated that they did not call or leave any message to me... I also advised Spectrum of this 855-707-7428 purported scammer.

    I called the number back using a Google Voice number and not my phone number on the account (which it is not) and it went through like I was calling Spectrum; all the question the same and the replies to the answers the same, but I just hung up because I know that one a Sunday they are not open and it was going to transfer me to a Customer Representative.

    I had a missed call at 2am from this number, it also showed as RACHEL AND FRANK in my caller ID. I wished I had answered, not sure if it was a coincidence or not my daughters phone was stolen right around the same time
