- Seriously replies to nancy poloserNice try pretending to be a politician. You did nothing of the sort and it's not a scam-so take your political BS and go away
- Tamianth replies to nancy poloserThe DNC isn't a call blocker and can not protect you from the illegal callers, extortion scammers, foreign country's and frauds. Criminals do not obey laws simply said. They use spoofed numbers which make it hard to track them down.. it takes time to do this and many subpoenas for call records.

Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states have different laws in regards to the calls, which can differ from the federal but as far as I know, Oregon is the only one that does not allow Charity calls.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

https://800notes.com/faq/state-do-not-call - CSThis number called tonight at 6:10 pm and asked for me by name. I said "she" wasn't home and took a message. Some guy named Mike said he'd call back later about some nonsense that I couldn't make out (but it wasn't a survey). I said I'd give her the message. I won't be answering again.

- FirstNameSounds like private company paid by those politicians for per call basis. So at the end of the month they would submit the phone numbers they called to collect payment. My first thought when some of you said they put you on hold; reason being they have to prove that they make the call and that the number they called would show up on their statement. That's why the person on the other side of the phone say "will be right back" because the minutes are running on the phone bill. See if it make sense.
- AanoyedGeeezz!
It just does not end.
Get a legitimate phone number if you are a legitimate business.
Otherwise, we are going to trace you and shut you down. - AZDON| 1 replyHung up on this one called in Dec. and Nov. and yet to talk

- in retirement communityReceived a call from 1855-836-5802, the black woman calling asked for my mom by her first name. I said she is watching tv( lol) . the caller said she would call back at a more convenient time. I asked if i could help her, she said no, i told her not to call back. Who cant come to the phone because they are watching tv? Lol, anyway the number is blocked now. The Panasonic kx tge a20 i bought for $69 came with base with keypad, answering machine and cordless handset, headsets for all 5 handsets, new batteries, 4 additional hanset charging bases. You can link it to your cell and answer your cell phone with one of the handsets or call from a handset but using your cell phone line if you want. But it has caller blocking by phone number or phone number range also, easy to block a number just view on caller id and select block from the menu. No monthly charge from the phone co to block
- Bill| 1 replyJust FWIW, (copy/paste) "Area code 855 is a non-geographic area code, meaning that it is not associated with any particular city, state, province, or country. Area code 855 is a toll free number, that recently joined the list of 800, 888, 877, 866, and 844 toll-free numbers."
My phone has been quiet lately but the scammers found my number again. I answer with a drowsy WHAT?, they ask for me by name and again I do WHAT? If they go into their script without determining just who they are talking to, you KNOW IT'S A SCAM. Usually I not politely tell them this is a Do Not Call Number and they've been reported. I sometimes follow that with the fact they woke up a disabled senior from a sound sleep.- Caller: toll free call
- JohnM replies to helenthe panasonic user manual states a maximum of 250 callers may be blocked. I have a panasnic also it is a good product; however, the blocking program is limited to 250 and it is not easy to selectively remove blocked numbers because of a cumbrsome menu system.
- PatDidn't answer. Need to block
